To get pregnant with this baby (my husband and I were trying) I was charting my cycle and even taking ovulation tests. I could tell the doctor to the day when I concieved and when my last period was. It took me a few weeks to show a positive on an at home pregnancy test but I had the same issue with my older daughter. My due date was april tenth. When I had my first ultrasound the baby's development was off by three weeks (baby was developing small and slow). The doctors were concerned I would miscarry (I have a history of miscarriage) but when I didn't they decided that they should push the due date back three weeks (April 28th). I measured at that for the rest of my pregnancy all up until yesterday, when my doctor measured me and then started freaking out (she called in two other doctors for their opinions) saying that since my last appointment (a month ago) baby has skyrocketed in growth! I am now measuring at forty weeks. (Two weeks before my original due date and five weeks before my adjusted due date)
She was very concerned about baby's size and development and wants me to have an ultrasound to check baby out. My us is scheduled for Tuesday (the soonest I could get in) but the doctor made a comment right before leaving the office that I can't go into labor before Tuesday because she won't know whether or not to let baby come naturally or stop my labor because she doesn't know if baby is developed or not. Anyone else go through this? I am terrified I will go into labor now!!!! I asked her to do a pelvic exam to see where I was but she said she was afraid it could cause labor... I'm super worried and confused and even partially mad at her for putting this pressure on me (not to go into labor) I mean what doctor says we don't know what to do with you and then leaves the room???

Re: Dr.'s don't know my due date!!!
I am at a large military hospital and that is honestly the earliest they can unless I was bleeding. The ob's don't have anything to do with ultrasound(this is what my ob said)
I have no advice but good luck with everything. It gets my blood boiling for your situation.
I definitely didn't even think of that!!! So glad someone on the outside (who's not freaking out) could come up with something logical!!! Thankyou!!!
