painful to the touch

Hi this is the 1st time I post something and this is my 1st pregnancy. ..but I have a question for u ladies...I have noticed that on the left side of my belly button I feel a sensitive spot that feels as if its bruised...I thought maybe it was an area the baby was kicking repeatedly but now it keeps hurting and tender to the touch...then I remembered that prior to this bruised feeling I have family like a stretch around that area when I get up from bed and strain a bit...any advice orb ideas what this might be?

  • I feel the same thing! I don't know why or what it is though

    Mine feels like that too
  • Darn...it kinda went away this morning...I guess just the mild discomforts of making a miracle...God is good..what can I say..Hes an artist so I guess molding is part of it even if it hurts a bit...
  • My ultrasound tech told me it's very common. Though they are not 100% sure what causes it they suspect it is just stretching sensitivity / nerve sensitivity. There is absolutely nothing to worry about .
  • I have it on and off and actually called my doctor. The nurse said I can take Tylenol if it's bad, but that it's normal.
  • My Dr said it was the baby pushed against my skin. The U/S tech even showed me that his head was right agaisng my belly button. His lips were even all squished up. She said it would be really sensitive. I can hardly touch it sometimes.
  • I have that same feeling and my ob said I have a pulled muscle. She said to take it easy and try a postpartum wrap.
