Headaches are so awful. Had to call into work today and really don't have the pto to do so. Hormones are a bitch. I am thankful for my baby boy. I am just ready for these headaches to stop.
@dancegurl1118 I can relate to the BH! I've been getting them more and more frequently. I'm trying to drink more water because I've heard that helps but I haven't seen much of a change yet.
I'm kind of in awe of how intense my acid reflux has been... last night I was actually vomiting because of it! I was one of the lucky ones who never got morning sickness, but it looks like acid reflux is going to be making up for that. I'll be interested to see if the OWT about acid reflux indicating a full head of hair ends up being true in my case!
Still have that gross cough, but DH saysit sounds better than before and it's only caused me 2 BH this morning so I'm going to go back to being optimistic despite how misguided it may be. The nurse line is down for my OB, but hopefully if it isn't gone by next week, doc will say I can take something for it. Woke up to some Charley Horses the last couple of days but I increased my water intake and it seems to have help. Overall I feel okay and LO is kicking so I will count today as good in my book.

YES! I have never had heartburn or acid reflux in my life so I'm trying to figure out if that's what i'm experiencing. I couldnt sleep last night the back of my throat burned so badly. I tried some tums last night but that didnt help. I started to think maybe it's just me getting sick? Ive had lozenges and tons of tea today but that's not helping either. I have no clue what's up but im thinking i need to go to an urgent care place tonight once im home from work so i can nip this in the bud if it is strep or something.

I never did either! It sounds to me like you have acid reflux unfortunately - heartburn would be that feeling but in your chest, acid reflux is in the back of your throat... unless you're like me last night and it comes up even further. So gross my mom told me to try drinking lots of water during the day but no water an hour before bed - which of course is when I'm super thirsty, so I drink more and then I'm in trouble!
ETA also from what you've described I doubt it's strep; I'm extremely susceptible to strep throat and used to get it as often as 3-4 times a year, and it never felt like burning to me... more like a knife in the side of my neck haha. Tbh I'd much rather have strep than this, then ice cream would help me feel better!
Ran a bunch of errands and did some housework yesterday and paying for that burst of productiveness today. Just really run down and bushed. Also slept like ass so that didn't help much either

I was thinking the same thing, i'd almost rather it be that i was getting sick cause at least that would mean it would hopefully go away soon. If it's acid reflux, there's a good likelihood i'll be feeling this for the next 14 weeks till my baby shows up. Did you try tums? I was trying to find other home remedies for acid reflux. I just cannot handle another night with no sleep and this horrible sore throat!

I just texted my mom about it and she said to try something called Maalox? Haha I'm totally new to indigestion issues so I'm still learning a lot - apparently heartburn is a symptom of acid reflux, sorry for the confusion, and it does travel up into your throat... anyway, my mom said that she had heartburn with all of her pregnancies (5 total, the last being twins) and she said she literally used to chug Maalox. I also just Googled ways to treat heartburn and it said Tums would help, but I think I remember someone else on here saying that they tried Tums and it did nothing for them, so I guess try it and see if it works for you?
Here are a few articles with advice for how to treat heartburn/acid reflux during pregnancy:
I hope this helps! I'm going to be trying some of these and if they don't work I'll talk to my doctor at my next visit in a few weeks to see what she says.
My doc said I can take OTC Prilosec (or another type of indigestion medication) and that is the ONLY thing that has helped! I'm almost 28 weeks and have had severe acid reflux since week 8. It has been so bad that I vomit on a regular basis, though I never had morning sickness either. It is well worth it to ask your doc about taking something. I still get the "full" feeling in the back of my throat but it doesn't burn and that has made a tremendous difference!!

Thanks for the recommendation! I think you're right, maybe I should just call the nurse's line rather than waiting a few weeks... will see what they have to say
Woke up to some Charley Horses the last couple of days but I increased my water intake and it seems to have help.
I have gotten these very frequently as well my massage therapist have me great advice if you feel it coming on immediately stretch your toes to your nose and many of them can be avoided. Haven't had a full Charlie horse since!

I'll have to try that next time, I usually try to force myself to get out of bed and walk it off. I literally get them them the moment I wake up. Had them early in my first tri, but I think that was more from being on my feet at my last job in combination with an excess of caffeine.
ITCHY! omg I have never wanted to rip my skin off so bad! And sorry it's it's tmi but it's all across my boobs and nipples. I just hope it ends soon.
Also I have had nonstop acid reflux as well my Dr told me Zantec or pepcide ac cause you don't want to have too many tums in a day. I swear if that old wives tale is true this little one will have hair to her butt. Also I've been nothing but exhuasted it's scary when driving lately I've had to pull out some of the old standbys of opening the windows and cranking the music.
Turns out my instinct was right! My doc said my tonsils are swollen and there's a lot of fluid in my ear. I'm oddly relieved lol. He prescribed a z-pack which he told me is safe during pregnancy but I can't stop googling info on it. My doc said I caught it before it became an infection in my lungs and tonsils, thank god!!
Anyone having weird shin cramps? Like shin splints when you run, but just while sitting?! It's so weird
Mine aren't while sitting but I am getting them more easily on my daily walk from work to the subway station. I have to walk much more slowly than I am used to, it's pretty annoying! I'm a fast city-walker
Tonight was the first time I noticed swollen ankles. Now they feel like they're burning and ache!!! Hopefully, it will calm down before tomorrow morning!

Glad your doctor's able to help you! Z-packs always work wonders for me when I have strep; if you're anything like me that should clear everything right up! Feel better!
I'm 30 weeks 2 days, I keep having Braxton hicks contractions and I'm supposed too take it easy for a week, not fun. My nipples hurt so bad and their leaking and today some one thought I was 37 weeks ugh. Living the dream B-)
I was diagnosed with Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction (SPD) this morning and they gave me a support belt. This thing is amazing! Before i went to the doctor I couldn't even walk anymore the pain was so bad but this belt is a miracle! I also recommend anyone else that has it to go to a chiropractor just make sure they are familiar with working with pregnant women I've been going since I was around 6 weeks pregnant and she's the one that discovered my spd because my OB kept telling me the pain I was feeling is normal when I knew it wasn't. After my adjustment today and her giving me that belt I'm still a little sore but I can walk and the belt helps stabilize my pelvis!

I just self diagnosed myself with this the other day haha. I have an appointment with a chiro that specialized in prenatal, so I am hoping she can sure me or tell me what is going on. How far along are you???
Yeah my back kills!!! Mostly when sitting tho so that's annoying. Some days I can go without it hurting at all but most I can't ever get comfortable or find any relief with anything ugh hate it

@Mommaswizz glad you caught it early!
