Getting impatient....

Good morning everyone!

I am 25w3d and getting so impatient! I have been waiting around for my "surprise" baby shower to buy what we didn't get for the baby. And I am waiting for my husband to get his butt in gear to paint the nursery and put up the molding so I can start decorating. I know my EDD of July 7 is still far off but I am getting so antsy!! As you all can tell I am not very patient. :) I better start working on this.

    Im not patient either. Apparently patience is important as a parent (so im told) so good luck to us i guess. Im like the least patient person in the world. Don't feel bad about your nursery. I won't even be moving to my new place until june and im due 7-21. It will all come together soon enough

    I'm the same way. I'm not one of those people that can not buy anything right now and wait for the baby shower to see what is left that we need to get. As I've told my mom, we didn't have a good turn out like we expected for our wedding shower and I honestly expect about the same turn out for our baby shower. We have many people that love us and want to help but I'm not the kind to ask those people for big things like the crib, strollers, changing table, etc. And I know that I don't want to have my back against the wall with no time to collect baby things between the shower and when he actually arrives. So we've already got about 70% of what "I think we will need" for the baby. I have not purchased things like clothes, diapers, bibs, wipes, bath stuff, blankets, etc because I know that's the kind of stuff people like to purchase when they think about baby showers.

    I hear ya!! My due date is 7/20 and I am sooooo impatient. Our nursery needs to go under construction due to the all the damage from the snow we got this winter, we have purchased no furniture for the nursery due to most of it being on our registry, our bathroom is under construction since we moved in 2 years ago, and my shower isn't until June. My husband is in construction and he and his friends are doing everything on the side while they work full time jobs. We are saving money this way but I want it all done now so I don't need to worry about it before the baby arrives. Also, we didn't have that great of showing at our wedding shower either and I am praying it isn't the same for the baby shower. :(

    I am glad I am not alone on this one. My wedding shower was small as well so it will be interesting how the baby shower goes; my mom decided to make it co-ed. Maybe once the nursery is finished I will be tricked into thinking I am prepared. :)

    I am so with you on the husband front. The nursery has up until now been a storage room for boxes I could never convince my husband to unpack after we moved. He keeps saying he will get around to it closer to the shower. Mmhmmm.

    July 29 due date and I've got nothing done!!! Feeling very anxious about it. I need to get both my nursery done and a big boy room for my 2 year old! My husband just keeps saying relax there is time! I keep telling him yes but our LO is 2 and his room had never been completed!!!! Granted he was a suprise to us at 12 days old so there was no prep time for him, by he is still in a toddler bed in our room instead of in his own room because it's not done!!! Grrrrr... I need this crap done like yesterday! So stressed!

    I keep having dreams  that our baby has been born...we are holding him, showing him off, feeding him, the whole deal!  Then I wake up only to realize I have another "x weeks" to go....  such a let down!!!

    My husband is making the crib and dresser and hasn't started either yet! We haven't done anything for the nursery either. I haven't even been able to finish the registry because the Babies r Us website registry hasn't worked every time I try. That's the most frustrating thing!

    I feel ya. I keep buying stuff cause I can't help it. And I'm starting to get kinda pissed cause our whole house is torn apart cause were waiting for carpet in the babies and extra bedroom so all the furniture is in the loving room and dining room. Our friend is supposed tonput it in for us but is taking forever. I just want to put my freaking crib together.

    I've been nesting since I found out I was pregnant. Cleaned out multiple drawers closets and cupboards. Now to go through toys and all the baby stuff and get put away! If I waited for my husbands help I wouldn't get anything done!

    Same here on the babies r us registry !
    Everytime I try to update it, there's a problem. Glad I'm not the only one. I contacted their tech assistance and they just kept telling me to try to use another browser. That was not the problem though. There's a problem w their website and it's so frustrating.

    I'm the exact same way. My baby shower is this Saturday and we haven't really bought anything for the baby because we wanted to wait till after the shower. I just want to prep for the baby and make sure she has everything. It is taking forever! On top of that, my niece is about 3 years old and I my sister in law said that we can have all of her old clothes and she will bring them by so we can sort through them...I'm still waiting! I am about 6 1/2 months and I want to see what we need to buy. I can't believe how fast it is going. Can't wait!

    I was just feeling stuck this morning. Drywall needs to be replaced, walls need painting, flooring has to go in, and trim put up and all I want to do is go shopping for baby furniture. I have tons of hand me town clothes already and no place to put them. Its going to go by so fast and once 3rd trimester hits I won't want to do much but take naps.
