Due date is today 3/26 been up since 1am ish having contrations every couple minutes. Second bby. First was c section at 40 weeks due to bby being breached. But this time round i would like to go vbac. I didnt experience any contractions or water breakage with first pregnancy so labor is a whole new thing for me. These contractions are no joke (every couple minutes) cant go bak to sleep nd have to get up to walk them off. Havent had my water break at least i dnt think so .. now im curious if this is false alarm :-)
Only 10-15% of ppl have their water break on it's own (something like that) hope it's the real thing!! Sure you are ready, I know I am! Let us know
I totally agree - in fact there's another thread down the page of a mama who kept waiting for her water to break - it didn't until 9 cm! (luckily she made it to the hospital prior to that). My water never broke with my first...
Thank u ladies. I ended up going to l&d at 7 am to get checked out, got admitted and was at 3 cm. Bby Michael Alexander the 2nd was born at 8:52 pm. Long labor but well worth it. He weighed 6.39 Lbs, 19.9 in long. Due to first pregnancy being c section they considered me high risk so medication was given slowly. I was dilating slowly so around 5 pm they broke my water and gave me pitocin to speed up the process and iv pain med by 7 pm contractions were so bad i couldn't take it any longer and gave into getting an epidural by then i was only at 5 cm. Daddy went home to check on my dd and had to rush back and almost missed babies birth cause we all thought it was gonna to be awhile before i dilated enough to push. Everything turned out well pushing was not bad at all. I'm so glad hes finally here and i didn't have to get a second c section. Funny thing was that my 40 week check up appt was wed at 3 and i was going to wait til 8 am to go see dr but bby decided he wasn't gonna stress mom out anymore and get here
Re: Been up since 1 am
Time your contractions. If they are regular and close together 3 to 5 minutes and last at least a minute each then call your doctor
I've had two babies and my water didn't break with either of them until just prior to pushing...
