Hung out with some coworkers and cool regulars last night for a couple of hours while they all drank and tied one on and I ate a bacon cheeseburger with fries (and two pickles! Hooray) and drank my prego-cocktails (half cran juice, half 7up). It was nice to be able to sit down and bs with these people instead of being on the other side of the bar working. Despite the fact I couldn't drink, and did wish that I could, I had fun laughing and discussing the universe like friends do when you're out at the bar. I had to bow out early cause I was tired, they were going to take the times to another bar anyway, but it was fun.
DH coaches a 5th and 6th grade boys' basketball team at our church and last night was their kids v. grown ups game (which doubled as the potluck he forgot to tell me about until 2 hours before it started last night). Anyway, after the game was over, 3 of the kids' moms gave us a huge gift bag full of diapers and clothes for LO. So nice of them! We have the best church family
I'm thankful for my awesome coworkers! They are some of my best friends and so caring. I think I've made the decision to stay home with little man next year, and I'm going to miss them so much! Luckily, they all live close by!
I'm thankful I've hit 30 weeks as of today and have had minimal issues with this pregnancy. I'm also thankful that my husband finally got our shed built, so that we'll have ample room for both vehicles in our garage. We can both fit in the garage now, but with all the shit in there (that will be going into the shed), it's getting difficult for me to open my door and squeeze out of my car since my belly is getting big...it's almost to the point where him or I had to park outside, but not anymore! Plus, now I don't have to worry about getting the carseat in and out of the car once LO is here.
I'm thankful for my coworkers. Today I thought I was going to a working lunch but it was a surprise baby shower! DH and my SIL were there as well. It was so sweet!
I'm thankful that my mom has done so well lately and we've been able to build a relationship. She's five years sober this week (DD has her 5th birthday this week too ). She has suprised us all. She tends to be distant and is still adjusting but overall it's been great. For the first time in my entire life I'm not worried about her. I'm thankful I can say she is making a wonderful grandmother (dongie)!!!
Thankful that my scares this pregnancy have had positive outcomes. Thankful that I am blessed with the support of my husband to focus only on a healthy pregnancy right now with no resentment form him. Thankful to be able to go home and spend Easter with family.
Today I'm thankful that my fur babies illness this weekend was only stress related. He is finally getting back to normal. I'm also thankful that I found the book and videos on childbirth, breast feeding, and infancy I was looking for were available at the library. Also thankful for a healthy and active LO and toddler.

That's really great to hear about your mom. My dad has had an alcohol problem since forever, and I've definitely struggled with what kind of relationship to try to forge ahead with given the baby. (Yep I know this is a thankful thread so sorry for the downer)! But I am so happy for you and your mom!
