Who has had baby's legs crossed during ultrasound? Did you have a boy/girl?

So I was curious to know who all had ultrasounds where their baby would
cross the top of their legs or completely cross them during an
ultrasound? If so, did you have a boy/girl? I feel like a lot of people
who have girls have had this happen making it difficult to get that
potty shot! Just wondering if girls tend to do this more than boys??

My first boy did it and they told us he was a girl. I know I have the sonogram pic on my blog but I'm on my phone so I have to go find the link. Let me see if I can dig it up. He really DID look like a girl with his ankles crossed.

Well that took ages because I didn't post the 2D anatomy scan shot to my blog but I can try to find the actual picture, if I remember to look, tomorrow. I just moved all of my photos from a cardboard box to a wooden box and I swore I saw some sonogram pics in there.

DD1 had hers closed, but the tech was 70% sure she was a girl. That was so nerve racking. We didn't get to verify she was for sure a girl until 36wks.

Oh wow! How far along were you when you found out?

We got a 3D scan at about 30 weeks where we found out he wasn't a girl. I hadn't done anything to prepare for a girl because I had a gut feeling it was wrong and wanted to confirm on 3D before we made final preparations for baby.

Why would they confirm a gender if legs were crossed? Ours crossed her legs the first try and tech wouldn't say either way. . Went back for a 2nd try a week later and legs STILL crossed for the first 25 min of u/s. I did some sit ups and got her to uncross at the last min but tech was ready to send us home again. Def a stubborn little lady we have!

I don't know but it definitely irks me because he exclaimed, "this is 100% a girl" and typed it out before printing it for us. He should've known better to say if the legs/ankles were crossed. I have a minute to go look for mine and take a quick pic.

Legs were crossed at our 16 wk apt yesterday. Tech told us it was most liekly a girl, but not to go out and start buying pink just yet. I guess we'll hopefully see something at our 20 wk apt, which feels like it's 6 months away

Okay found them and you can see the time stamp on each. Before looking for "the goods" we saw baby had his ankles locked together. It's harder to see that in the money shot one but he kept his legs like that the entire time.

He DID look like a girl from this angle with crossed ankles. That's why it's just so crazy to me that despite this my gut kept telling me he was a he. After he was born, and even now at age 3, he likes to cross his ankles. And he's definitely a boy. I don't know how he hid his stuff so well during this sonogram!!!

(I took pics in a way to obscure my last name. I do know my first name is shown and that's okay.)

My girl had her legs crossed then put her hand in the way then her foot then her cord. She FINALLY cooperated lol but she was stubborn!

My recent ultrasound had the legs crossed and cord was in the way so we couldn't tell. My doctor was guessing boy because she thought she saw something between the cord. We will know next month for sure.

Thanks so much for sharing!!! I am going through the same issue. The elective u/s tech said she thought girl, but then was thinking boy in some shots. Would you mind looking at mine? What do you think? They were taken at 13 weeks 4 days. And I SWORE it was a boy...because my 12 weeks nub was VERY boyish. So I was shocked to hear possible girl! Here are my photos...one where she thought girl and a few where she though maybe boy. What do you guys think??

Legs were crossed at my 15 week ultrasound with umbilical cord right between them. After a while the tech had me lay on my side to get him too move. We finally got a potty shot of te turtle

My son had his legs crossed for the most of our appointment but when i layed on my right side he gave us the potty shot. Definitely boy

Thanks for looking. I think the first and last pics seem girly, but those middle ones make me unsure. My baby has such a boy nub though at 12 weeks!! So I don't know??...

I went for a 4d US last week and my baby girl was crossing her legs. The technician said it's typical for girls to do that.

Will do! I'm honestly hoping it's a little boy. My son is only 11 months old so it would be nice for him to have a brother so close. But a little sister would also be fun too.

I went in today to a clinic for my u/s and I think the tech knew how badly I want a girl he was nervous to tell me for sure or not . The umbilical cord was between the ️babies legs so it was hard to tell. He did say I'm guessing girl but I'm not sure so we're going back Monday please baby let us see mommy is dying over here the anticipation haha!

Went to the doc and he tried to see baby wasn't being helpful but he said he tot he saw a (p) so Iam hoping his right and there were having a boy

My baby girl had her legs crossed at my ultrasound. Where I live we only get a dating ultrasound and the 20 week ultrasound, so when they couldn't see at 20 weeks we just had to wait until she came out. Even if the tech thinks it's a girl they will not say anything if they're not 100% sure.

Yep! That's a definite boy!! Congrats! And yeah, my pics look boy, but then I look at them closer and I don't see penis/scrotum...but there's something there! But then that pic where baby looks girl has me convinced it's probably a girl and I'm over analyzing....but I SWORE it was a boy based of it's 12 week nub shot! Which I read is pretty accurate at 12-13 weeks...So I don't know...??

If they can not see it at the 18wk ultrasound do they do another one? Or do you have to wait until it's medically relevant
