Bad Swelling!

Hello! I'm a first time mom, 33 weeks pregnant with my baby girl and for the past month I've been dealing with very swollen feet and hands. Preeclampsia has been ruled out but I want to know has anyone else dealt with this? What are some ways to bring it down? I look forward to hearing back. :-)

    I had bad swelling of legs/feet. Gave birth a week ago and it's just starting to get better but it got worse first. Which the nurses warned me would happen. I did end up with preeclampsia at 33 weeks after weeks of it being ruled out. Just make sure your doctor keeps monitoring you!

    I bought compression socks and wear them all day and usually I don't swell if I'm wearing them

    I second the compression socks. I got some from bed bath beyond with zippers. Much easier for preggos to put on!

    I would also try compression socks and soaking your feet in Epsom salts in a warm tub before bed. Also, you may want to just be careful of your sodium intake as usually that is what causes my swelling, especially at night time.

    Walking was temporary relief for me the first pregnancy. I was super puffy and my husband rubbed it out at night. Compression socks but that seemed to just keep the swelling higher. Also, drink lots of water. Seems strange to counteract wear weight with water but it helps. I'm not swollen yet this time and I've been doing much better at water and daily walks.

    I am 34 weeks! My first pregnancy. I start swelling pretty bad about 2 weeks ago. My doctor told me to continue to monitor my blood pressure. Went for my check up today and my blood pressure was high and I gained a lot of weight due to the fluid retention. So I was put on bed rest! I already know I'm going to go crazy! Elevating and drinking lots of water is really the only thing that helps! Compression socks only had the fluid build up about the elastic band. I'm hoping either baby comes or I can get over the bed rest and get back to work!
