....did my water just break?

I'm laying in bed and I heard more of a "crack" then a "pop" noise and like 30ish seconds after that clear fluid stared to leak from me. It wasn't a whole lot but its still leaking slowly. When it happened I was about to get up to go to the bathroom so I thought it might have been pee. But it doesn't smell like that.... Any ideas? I don't feel any contractions but it did just happen.

This is my second child but with my first one I labored i n the bath tub so nobody knows when my watter broke for that one.

I've never experienced it myself, if you are leaking call your dr they can perform simple tests to check.

Sounds like it to me. I didn't hear a pop when it happened to me, but I would describe as a small gush, followed by a trickle. I was having contractions, but I couldn't even feel them. If the fluid is clear and doesn't smell like urine, then I would definitely get yourself to L&D and have them perform an amnisure.

Yup! You are leaking slowly because the baby's head is blocking the hole. Go to the hospital and congrats!!! You will have a baby within the next 24 hours!!!

Yes! Go to L&D and get it confirmed. I went in last night for a trickle of fluid thinking it was my water but the midwife confirmed my bag was still whole.

Sounds like it to me, but the only way to know for sure is to go get a pelvic at L&D.

With my first it was a gush, with my second a trickle- they can do a pH test or something to tell. Glad you are getting it checked out

@court476 no - no white specks. It was clear - I was told my my midwife that around 38 weeks the discharge changes to a more liquid like substance - I wasn't aware of it and assumed it was my water breaking.
