varacose and spider veins in pregnancy

Im currently 16w 2days and have a huge varacose vein on the back of my left thigh. Also i have spider veins popping up all over my legs. Behind my left knee looks like its all bruised and covered in red and blue spider veins. My dr tells me this is normal and to elevate whenever i can. Im a pharmacy assistant and work 4 days a week on my feet all day.
I am 29 years old and this is my 4th pregnancy. I never had anything like this with my previous pregnancies.
Im also at least 15kg lighter this time around. My question is - has anyone had anything like this and if so did they get better or go away after bubs was born. I actually like my legs and it upsets me to think what they may look like in 4 months time :(
Many thanks

Toward the end of my pregnancy with my son, a spider vein popped up
on the back of my left calf and hasn't went away. It's been 5 years so I figure it's here to stay. Other than having them removed by a plastic surgeon, I'm not sure of any way to get rid of them. :(

  • I'm getting them on my legs as well :(
  • Is it true that you get them from wearing heels? My grandma told me not to wear heels because I'll get veins lol
  • Ive had them since my early 20s. Im 32 now and theyre only getting worse. My job requires me to be standing all day. With only a linch break. Ive been off these past few months because its off season but will ne going back soon. Im afraid my legs will only get worse. Going to look into vein surgery after the baby is born. I hate the way my legs look with all those viens popping out
