Membrane sweep

i had a membrane sweep yesterday at 11 I was 1cm dilated and 70% effaced I was just wondering if anyone had any luck with it and how soon or how dilated and effaced were you

    I had mine swept the morning of my 40 week appt. I was only 1 cm dilated and my cervix hadn't started thinning at all yet. By around 4:00 that evening I started having contractions, went to the hospital, was 3 cm and had thinned to 50% by then. Needless to say I had my LO by 7:34 am the next morning. I was told that if your body is ready to have the baby then the membrane sweep is a natural way to induce labor, and will start it. But if your body is not ready, then it won't do anything. I hope it works for you!

    I have been walking around at 1cm and 100% effaced for a month...can they do a sweep if I'm that thinned out? I'm hoping they will for me on Thursday because I will be 40 + 5 days!!! They've been telling me any day now since 37 weeks...

    I had one last week at 40+1. I was 4 cm and 90 effaced. It didn't work for me but we will be trying it again in 2 days.

    Had mine yesterday at 2:30 had some minor cramping and then bloody show last night but as of today nothing more than a little more show. Getting discouraged. I'm 39+5 today and have ALWAYS had to be induced so I'm thinking things will be the same this go around.

    I've had 2 so far...one at 40w and one at 40+2...still pregnant at 41w. Lol and the first one I was 2cm, stretched to a 3, and second one I was at 3cm, but stretched to a 4. They're gonna try another one tomorrow morning. If it doesn't work, induction is Thursday. Hoping I don't have to wait until then. Good luck!

    39.2 and still sealed like a vault. Expected a sweep this morning but not open enough to do it. So discouraging. Doc said we will schedule induction after my next appointment...

    Im 39 & Had a sweep done about 6 hours ago and have had nothing but the normal mild cramping and BH. Going to go for a long walk as soon as DH gets home and hoping something starts tonight.

    I'm trying to avoid getting induced this week so my doctor did a sweep on me today (39w 6d)... I lost my mucus plug and the contractions started coming in 2-3 every hour. I don't know if it'll work (if your body wants to go into labor, it will), but it's better than being induced IMO.

    Just having them check to see how dilated I was at my 38 week appointment gave me contractions all night. I went into labour a few days later, and went from 5 cm when I checked in to pushing in an hour. Guess them touching my cervix had a very rapid effect!!!

    It's now been 1 day & 3 hours since my sweep and nothing! My BH Contractions have even slowed to their lowest point in the past 6 days. It's like it had the reverse effect on me. Oh well, she'll come when she does, for now I'm enjoying napping & the quietness before the storm. I-)

    Had my sweep Monday and nada. I'm 90%, 2cm and baby is at +2. Lost my plug almost two weeks ago.

    So tired of being pregnant.

    Had mine done this morning. Haven't had more contractions than normal.. Not dilated when they did it but have been 70% effaced for two weeks. They are testing me for preeclampsia today. Yay carrying around a pee jug! Lol due Saturday! Hope he comes by then!

    I had my second one 2 days ago and was still dilated 4cm and 90%. This one did absolutely nothing. I am getting induced this morning at 41+3.
