doing lab wrk late!!

So I'm 33weeks the doctor forgot to give me my 26week glucose drink! The two hours one! I took it once before at I think 18weeks and it came back fine but she wanted to make sure I'm still ok because I was a majore soda junky!! I'm not anymore the day they thought my suger was high I quit my bad habit! Iv gone to the lab 3times already and each time I go I wait two to three hrs just to be called up to give my paper wrk only to be told to sit and wait I waited 4hrs the other day just to have to walk out to pick my other children up from school! I'm over it and not going again! It's not my falt she forgot to give me my lab wrk on time! And I'm c-section so I only have a few weeks to go anyways! I'm so mad at her and my insurance only covers that lab around my town!!! What to do?

    I totally understand your frustration. I failed my sugar test and when my dr forgot to set up my appointment for the diabetes management class she yelled at me and blamed me for it. Um, not my fault her people forgot! Had I even been instructed on who to call I would have taken care of it myself, but it was a class done through the hospital and not my dr. So frustrating...

    How about asking for the one hour test, your Dr gives you the glucose drink, by your next appt, drink it one hour before your appt and get your blood drawn. If you are that frustrated, try that. You get your results within a few days.
