I'm going to miss it...

Welcome to this week's edition for the TWW!!!  This is for anyone who is entering the TWW this week or is in their TWW.

Re: TWW for 3/23

  • I think I'm in the TWW now.  I didn't temp this month, but estimated ovulation was on 3/18.  So, if the estimate got it right then I am 5dpo.  Trying to force myself to wait until 4/1 to test, but I'm obssessive so we'll see how long that works.

    Good luck everybody!

  • Hi Ladies -
I am in the 1st week of the 2WW. AF came last month on 3/3. My period tracker says I should get AF on 3/30-3/31.
I won't test until I've gone past those days with no AF. The main phanton symptom I'm having is constant scramping in my lower abdomen. No other symptoms.

QFTTWW: What is the best way to spend your weekend?
Best way to spend my weekend is to clean my house and then relax with a good book or do some shopping. ;)
    Me: 38 ~  DH: 38 ~   DD: 8
    TTC #2 since March/April 2014.

  •  Hey ladies,
It's been two weeks since IUI. I'm supposed to test on the 26th. Been having cramps on and off since the first day but today they've been non stop. I've also had a lot of CM. It hurts when I bend down, can't button my pants and cramps get worse when I have to pee. Pain seems to get better with warm water. I feel a lot of pressure in my lower abdomen, kinda like AF cramping. Belly seems to feel a bit harder. Really hoping it's not phantom symptoms but the real thing. My last progesterone pill was on Saturday and cramping's been worse than when I was inserting them. Can't wait for these 3 days to pass. Although, I have to admit I'm kinda scared to test...

QFTTWW: What is the best way to spend your weekend?
Best way to spend the weekend is to do anything relaxing. Dinner with my hubby, being lazy in bed, watching movies.

  • Hey everyone! 6 dpiui here. Symptoms: cramping, exhaustion (but worked four ten hour days in a row and was busy so who knows), and this weird hip pain. These symptoms either mean I'm totally pregnant or ... Not. :) beta Monday. QFTTWW -- best weekend is spent relaxing and with my family.

  • Hello! I'm approaching the end of my TWW and have a bad feeling.... this morning my temp dropped below the cover line, sadly. I won't count myself out until AF shows up on Saturday, though!

I have experienced pretty much every phantom pregnancy symptom in the book for almost a week... I'm starting to get why they're called "phantom" symptoms LOL

I'll test for fun starting Friday, if I don't get my period sooner.

The best weekend is one spent on a short romantic trip with my DH.

  • I'm freaking out. After two days of cramping, I just started to have some spotting. Seems like AF is right on time. I'm so upset, so close and yet so far. Hubby tells me to wait and still test but what do u guys think? What else could the spotting mean....

There are several possible explanations so try not to immediately panic. A little spotting could be from implantation. Heavier spotting could be a subchiorionic hematoma, which does not automatically threaten a bfp. Try to keep in mind that some spotting during pregnancy is actually pretty common. There could be other causes but those are two I myself have experienced. You are supposed to test on Thursday right? If you are still experiencing spotting but no af, or if the spotting stops, you might think about testing tomorrow if it would make you feel better. Whatever you decide, take a deep breath and don't let yourself freak out yet. If this is a bfp your body needs you to relax. Hugs, hang in there!!

Thank you for your support @Guennie!!!! I tried to keep positive at first because it was so light...kept going to the bathroom to check if I had any more. Seemed like it was just the one time until right before I went to sleep. Wiped and saw a tinge of blood. This morning before even getting up I knew AF had really showed. Got up and there it was, in full effect. I forgot what having a regular period felt like. Cramps, and lots of blood (TMI). Having PCOS, I never knew whether what I had was spotting, period or what. It's so frustrating and it HURTS

  • Oh damn. I really hoped you would have a positive update. I'm so sorry, I wish it didn't have to be so hard. I know it sucks wanting to stay positive but not wanting to be too hopeful so as not to be so crushed. Big hug to you.

  • I really appreciate ur words. It definitely is a hard pill to swallow. Trying to pick myself up and carry on. Have an appointment with the RE this Friday. The nurse asked if I wanted to try again right away and I automatically said yes, so I will continue my journey. I do have to admit though, that after the disappointment I am now REALLY scared of what's next....

  • @FLY106, I'm sorry this cycle didn't work out for you.  I was hoping it would be a BFP for you.  You have the right attitude though.  Allow yourself time to be sad, cry, etc. and then move on.  It's disheartening and frustrating every time.  Maybe they just need to tweak the process a little bit.  My fingers are crossed that this next cycle is your lucky one!!

Took a HPT this morning - BFN. I am not going to lie.  I'm heartbroken and for the first time, I'm starting to doubt this is going to happen.  Maybe I just need to face we may only have one child.  My only child brain is having a hard time accepting that idea for my girl.  Ugh.  Beta tomorrow, seems pointless but they won't let me move forward without doing it.  :(

(Just to clarify - I have several half siblings who are older than me, so I grew up an only.  Maybe I hated it so much because I knew I had siblings but they weren't around.  I don't know.  But I was LONELY...).

I'm an only child and never wished for a sibling!! DH and I aren't even sure we'd want to go for #2 for that reason... we were both only children and happy to be :)

Just wanted to cheer you up and give you a different perspective :)

  • Thanks for the insight @BulgariHeart. I realize there's a chance my girl would love bring an only child. I just want a sibling for her. With older parents who are both the youngest in their families, I worry about her being alone. I know she'll have friends, but I worry...

  • @emsmama15 I'm so sorry. I feel exactly the same way and I just don't know how to let go of wanting this. I wish my h felt the same way. I hope you can dust yourself off and keep trying. Big big hugs.

  • @emsmama15 oh no, I'm so sorry. I have the same feelings exactly as you and @Guennie. DH is now completely waning on the IVF. I feel blindsided. Trying naturally isnt working but he's wanting to go that route. I can't shake the desperate 'want' either.

  • Thanks @Guennie and @kindershlitz, I know you guys understand what I'm saying. I'm lucky I have a husband who is all in like I am. We're moving forward with another IUI and going to have a consult with the RE to see what he thinks. He told the NP we could either do another IUI or move to IVF. I'm very torn about where to go. I'm hoping he can help me figure it out.

@kindershlitz I'm sorry your h is having second thoughts about IVF. That is frustrating. Hugs to you...

    @FLY106, thanks... :)
