BBB Changing return policy

when I was in BBB this weekend they informed me that on April 20 they are changing their return policy. If you don't have a receipt they will only refund you store credit for the item price -20% because they don't know if if you used a coupon or not. I think it's terrible for gift registry stuff if you get duplicates and no receipts!

I thought the being on the registry took the place of a receipt? Isn't that the point?

As long as the item is on your registry it works just as a receipt would. It says it right in the policy.

OP is right. Even if it's on your registry, they will deduct 20% without receipt. They informed me two weeks ago when I was there. Starts april 20th at my store.

That's awful. So many people don't give a gift receipt. I had my shower this weekend and will be returning a few items all w/o a receipt.
