I wish mine would. He doesn't see the need to finish the nursery before the baby is born because baby will be sleeping in the room with us in his cradle. So he still has a few pieces of furniture to put together and I want it done yesterday!!!!
My husband doesn't do the nesting but he tells me everyday to get the hospital bag packed already lol and I haven't yet and he had gained more weight than me since I got pregnant lol so we are going to lose the weight together after is what he says lol
Just like PP I wish my DH would nest, even if it's just for a day to give me a break! He painted the ceiling in the nursery and that was it; my dad finished all the painting, shampooed the carpet, AND put together the crib and dresser this weekend which really bothered me. He's being very nonchalant about it all like he has all the time in the world--I told him he's in for a very rude awakening!
Omg, yes!! We also live with my brother (he lives in the basement but we share a kitchen) and I came home the other day and my DH had moved everything out of our bedroom and was cleaning and reorganizing the furniture and my brother was deep cleaning/reorganizing cupboards in the kitchen. I stood there dumbfounded for a few minutes thinking that maybe I went into the wrong house!
Totally wish this would happen at my house. My husband helps out a bit by cooking and vacuuming on his days off but everything else is up to me. I would ask him to do more but he tends to complain or just be kinda pissy the whole time, I understand why, he works long hours and doesn't get much sleep. But still it's kind of annoying. It's less frustrating to just do it myself. I am asking him to pick up stuff off the floor more often though, since it hurts more these days. He can usually do that without complaining.
You should rent your husband out!! lol I could put him to some use!! I want to touch up the paint around the house and my husband thinks I'm being ridiculous
My husband has been nesting in a totally manly way. I find him out in the garage rearranging his tools, or he will be dusting all his man stuff in our basement. He's painting and updating and cleaning, which is very out of character, but it's not baby stuff... It's his things.
Yes! Mine has been doing this too. He has put up shelves, cleans in the kitchen, is constantly raking the front yard even when there isn't really much out there. He has also bought a chromecast and setup my phone so it can be used as a remote for when I'm breastfeeding our baby. I love it!
We just bought a house (literally closed last week on it) so we've been moving and unpacking all week. I had been trying to nest before the move but not I'm just too achy to do it now. The husband however won't stop doing things around the new house, which makes me feel like crap because I can't hardly do anything to help! And hospital bag..... I have an empty duffle bag I've been meaning to pack for 3 weeks now..... as of tonight it still isn't done
Any men nesting can come to my place! I will provide beer and bacon wrapper shrimp lol. My living STILL isn't finished... And now my bf has started working longer hours and has zero energy to do it... Lol.
Re: I thought that was my job..
Rant over
