What has been your biggest/"funnest" baby gear splurge so far?

So what have you bought (or registered for) that is the biggest splurge? Such as something not necessary but fun (or maybe just an unnecessary upgrade for something needed).

Mine is a Mamaroo. I know it's a bit ridiculous but it is just SO cool! DH thought I was crazy but I rationalized it as we would need a swing anyway, right? Why not get the neat one I really want? lol

He now thinks it is pretty awesome since we can control it with our phones (technology always wins out with him!).

Mine isn't actually a splurge, since I haven't really bought too much yet. But I was SO excited to find a gently used copy of Steven Kellogg's adaptation of Yankee Doodle way back in October! It was actually my first purchase for LO. My mom used to read that book to me and my siblings, and it's now out of print so new copies are $40+ (I think I spent max $2+ shipping for my used one). This was definitely a special purchase for me!

We decided to use a dresser for a changing table and found a refurbished one at a local store that we fell in love with. It fits our navy/orange/gray nursery theme so well and since we aren't painting the walls (apartment) it will bring some fun color into the room

It's not our biggest, but it's the most fun-we got this lamp for the nursery that is absolutely beautiful-it's very hard to describe, but it hangs from the ceiling and changes colors and has a variety of settings. It can fade/change from color to color or stay one color. My friend bought a similar one for her nursery and her baby absolutely loves it. Everyone we have showed it to says it's awesome and I hope it will be calming (yet stimulating with the different colors-if that makes sense) for our little girl.

I'm very into babywearing. And since this is #5 for us I talked the hubs into letting me get an artipoppe ring sling for this one. It's a serious splurge. But it's so pretty. And so super soft. I just love it!!!!

So far my splurge I'm excited about is a night light I found on zulily. Its so cute and can be set to one of 12 colors. Also, my sister sent me an owl that projects stars and stuff like that onto the ceiling. I LOVE looking at the sky, and I'm so looking forward to sharing that love with Ewok when we have meteor showers or comets or an eclipse or cool weather, whatever. I'm so touched that she got something like that.

This is baby #2, and we don't need a lot for her, but I spent $35 on a new set of aden +anias blankies for her. My son is 2.5 and still LOVES his, so I can justify this purchase. My DH on the other hand- shoked that blankets cost that much. LOL

We splurged on a double BOB stroller. It will be here this week and I can't wait!!!!! We have a single for DD and love it, so we decided to stick w it for the double.

The best one that we registered for is the soft flower tub that fits in the sink it's pink and has a matching flower wash cloth to go with it

Since this is baby#2 there's not much to splurge on. Especially after splurging on a Marc Jacobs diaper bag and some Aden and Anais blankets with my first pregnancy. No regrets whatsoever though.

However, a fun thing I did get is this little Death Star planetarium. When you turn it on you see a projection of the Star Wars Galaxy! So nerdy but I love it. I wish I had a night light like that when I was a kid.

The only splurge is that we decided to do organic clothing... GOTS certified and everything. Only buying items on super sale though. It feels indulgent but something that is important to me.

My boys would love that Death Star...they haven't even seen the movies but they are obsessed with everything Star Wars!

We haven't splurged a whole ton. This is our third so I am feeling very cheap and practical. I buy mostly second hand. But two of my woo-hoo second hand purchases include a box of brand new never opened Aden and Anais swaddle blankets and sleep sack as well as a very nice but in excellent condition Petunia Picklebottom diaper bag. My big splurge will be a new Baby Hawk mei tei, the Radian car seat and the Blooming Baby Bath.

I just ordered this exact one! I feel in love with it. What size did you get? I got the medium bc I was afraid the large would be to big, but I am still waiting for it to come in the mail to see the actua size.

we bought a mamaroo too! my hubs actually wanted it for babe more than I did (: but I think our biggest splurge was the uppababy vista! we're moving to Europe in a couple weeks and walking will soon take place of our vehicle so I think it'll pay for itself over the years!

we purchased a ring sling from wildbird, www.wildbird.co, because it was cheaper than the sakurabloom slings and came in better neutral colors than a lot of companies make - if that's helpful (:

We affectionate call this device the scream machine! We used it as a seat a lot but DS never let us turn it on, not once!

I got it in large! It's big, but not huge. Could also use it as a place to store baby blankets or a toy stash.

This is baby #2 so we don't need a whole lot. But I did splurge on a Phil and Teds Stroller with 2nd seat for babe, and also an Ergo baby carrier (I had like 3 cheaper carriers from last time but didn't like them much.
