Procardia

so I was put on procardia about 3 weeks ago to stop my LO from arriving early. I am now 36 weeks and DR took me off it. I am starting to feel all the contractions and pain that I was feeling before I was put on procardia. Dr thinks I am a little more than 36 weeks because of his size, so she said he can come any day now. I am 80% effaced and 2.5cm dilated as of this passed Wednesday 3/18.

My question(s) is/are, how many moms were put on procardia and then taken off? How long after being taken off procardia did you actually go into labor? Just curious.

I was put on Procardia at 29 weeks. My doctor took me off at 34 weeks. I've been having inconsistent contractions since. I'm 3-4 cm dilated, and 37 weeks but still no signs of labor.

Same with me. I was put on it at 27 weeks bc of contractions. I've been off of it for over a week now and have regular contractions frequently. I went to l&d thinking it was time and my cervix wasn't making significant change so they sent me home... I've read alot about procardia though & asked the same question you are asking. All the answers I have seen have been different. Some went into labor days after and some had to be induced. I wish you the best of luck & a healthy baby when he/she does decide to come

I have been taking procardia since the beginning of March and will be taken off on Tuesday when I make 36 weeks! I still have contractions here and there.
