Hey Ladies!
I know sometimes it's easy for us to get lost in stress and emotions, especially during pregnancy, so let's change the mood a little and share some positivity!
So what are you thankful for today? Big or small, share it here! >:D<
I'll start - I'm thankful for my sweet DH who came home last night with a shopping bag full of my favorite Easter candy and then took me to the store to buy the car seat/stroller combo I've been eyeing for the last couple of months. He can be a real stinker sometimes, but I feel so lucky to have him and can't wait to see him be a dad to our LO.
Also, I'm thankful for the next two days home from work because those children have been driving me bananas and I need a break!
Re: Weekend Thankfulness Thread - 3/21 - 3/22
I'm thankful for:
-My DS. Even though he's in his terrible twos at 18 months, he has the cutest giggles and can be very sweet. This morning he handed me my phone and glasses as soon as I woke up
-My DH. I'm so lucky he's been patient with my mood swings. I know I should watch my diet since I have GD but sometimes I REALLY want a donut. I can count on him to be the guy that'll let me have a little piece.
-My mom and in-laws. Since I'm very limited as to what I can do around the house, they've been so helpful with the cooking, cleaning and caring for my toddler so I can rest.
@frankengibbs thank you for starting this!
Yesterday, I posted that my father's doctors cleared him to travel! He and my mother are already making plans to visit. Having my family happy and healthy is making money stresses fade away.
I am also incredibly thankful for Spring Break and looking forward to our family trip.
My in laws are great but it's nothing like your own parents!
BONUS: Seeing so many little ones splashing around. How do you ladies not squeal every time your adorable child plays in the water??? Cutest thing ever. I am definitely thankful for being able to see kids do the "slapping the water dance" in the pool!
1. No contractions for three days!
2. After a bad reaction to the miracle meds that were supposed to cure this MRSA in my kidneys and feeling hopeless, the Dr finds another antibiotic. Yay, it makes me sick and takes twice as long but Yay.
3. I have to get a new IV everyday and I'm running out of veins (the meds burn them up). I was terrified when they said I needed a picc line but the head nurse came in and saved the day. She found a vein deep enough to last a little longer.
So...every obstacle we've faced has had a positive outcome so far. The best news is I'm not showing signs of preterm labor right now and that's just fantastic. There's only a small chance that this will stick but I'll take it for now.
No preterm for you, missy! All these things are such a pain and hard to go through, but that is a major silver lining. So glad it's heading in a positive direction for you.
