STMs- Placenta encapsulation?

hi!
Have any second time moms or anyone who was due April but had their baby early encapsulated their placenta?
I have found someone trustworthy/experienced to encapsulate it but was curious to see if anyone has had any first hand experience with the benefits (or drawbacks) from ingesting their placenta?

The hospital I'm delivering at does not allow you to take your placenta.
