A shout out to great partners

Hi mamas to be!
I know complaining about husbands, boyfriends, wives, girlfriends or whomever is going through this journey by your side is always fun, but why don't all us share something sweet our partners do?

I had a huge breakdown about how I'm not allowed so many things and how I mostly miss eating sushi. So my sweet DH asked why I don't get a vegetarian roll so I told him that it's because there's a risk of cross contamination. To that he responded, well, we can get the ingredients and make some at home!
I just felt how he cared to find a solution instead of just telling me to get over it, which he could've easily done.

Ok, now your turn...

  • Exhaustion sets in by the time my DH gets home from work. I have taught an overload all day, picked up DD, made dinner, and then when he arrives home, I am ready to crawl under a blanket and crash. DH is super understanding and is amazing with DD for the hour or so in the evenings when I am experience the intense exhaustion that comes with the first trimester and busy days. He doesn't always understand, but he does try!

  • Dh has been so understanding about me not keeping the house as clean as I did prepregnancy and he's been jumping in and trying to help more with the household chores and with dd too.

There are also times when I'm irrational and grumpy (ok angry) and he always tries to cheer me up!

My DF has been truly amazing!! He comes home and had cooked every night, sometimes 3 different meals depending on what I want or need to avoid and one for my DS (his stepson). Very supportive and understanding of my constant mood swings as well!
  • My awesome husband gets up with our son on the weekends so I can sleep in! I mentioned today that my craving for vinegar is kicking in, and he picked up two kinds of pickles, yum. Going to go get some now.
  • My husband has been incredible. Picking up household chores for me without asking or complaining, bringing home yummy treats on his way home from work and being SO understanding and protective of me. I really can't complain at all. Super blessed!
  • It's so ironic I was just thinking about how amazing my finance has been to me since my pregnancy, and then I saw this thread lol. He really has been the biggest help with everything, cooking, cleaning, helps make my morning routine easier to get to work & rubs my feet quite often without me asking. I am super greatful for everything he does, even tho I can be bitchy.. A lot lol.
  • Love this post! My husband is so great when i am pregnant..doesnt judge the crazy mood swings, will go out late night if im having a craving, he is taking care of the cooking and cleaning, the 3 children...even makes me super healthy smoothies and natural juice to make sure baby is getting lots of nutrients...i dont want to toot my own horn, but when i am not pregnant, i take very good care of him, the little ones, and the house....so i dont feel a bit guilty about taking it easing and letting him 'run the house' while i am preggo..he is all about mama focusing on making a healthy baby. Best husband ever!!
  • My husband came home from his 10 hour shift to me throwing up in bed. He cleaned up everything for me and helped me get in the shower. He has been my rock and my biggest supporter! I don't know what I would do without him. All I wanted to do was cry, but he never gets angry or frustrated with me he just loves me through it! Even when he needs to sleep he stays up to make sure I am okay before he crawls into bed. I'm in awe of how wonderful my husband truly is! I'm thankful that he doesn't mind my cravings, my fatigue, my mood swings, all these crazy pregnancy symptoms. He goes out of his way to always make sure I have what I need. I'm beyond blessed to have such a wonderful husband by my side. I try so hard to never forget to thank him and do little things for him that will show him love!

This is my 1st pregnancy and my boyfriend has been so supportive. He will not let me change the kitty litter anymore and does most of the cooking these days.
Whenever i'm feeling down, he picks me back up again and can always make me smile☺
It is so awesome knowing that my best friend is going to be the father of my child.xx
  • Love this thread! As much as I understand getting frustrated, I would not be making it through this pregnancy without my boyfriend! He picks me up when I am feeling sad, makes sure I'm eating what I need to be, and is always checking in on my well being. Today he took me on a walk to the river and played Yahtzee with me because I wanted to do something different and fun today! He is my rock and has showed how caring he is throughout this process!
  • @smash3210 you chose a good man to marry...most men are not that way...he sounds brilliant. Yay for great husbands!!! :)

  • At work tonight around midnight (I work night shift), I was craving Doritos my amazing husband brought two bags to my work!
  • My husband's been doing all the housework, cooking, laundry, grocery shopping and putting up with my crazy mood swings! Poor guy! Here's too amazing men :)
  • Love this thread! Yay for all the amazing husbands, partners, boyfriends, and fiancés out there! Truly a blessing.
My partner has always been the most thoughtful man. From cooking, hiring a housekeeper to come twice a week, feeding the dogs, walking them, taking amazing care of me...and this was before I got pregnant! He continues to be amazing and doing even more than before. His cooking is amazing and he will cook anything that I may be craving. If I need a nap, he goes and gets me my favorite pillow, if I want fresh warm bread, he goes and gets it. And he has a very demanding job but still makes it home before 7pm every night and is not taking as many work trips as he used to.
    Love him to pieces! ❤️
  • I didn't think it was possible to fall more in love with my wife than I already was, but it has happened. She's just been so amazing. She is so excited for our baby, I'm sure once I see her with our LO, I'm going to fall even harder.
  • My dh said that im not being moody (when I know that I am) and that he's completely ok with it when I do. And he's been helping more around the house, even getting his daughter (my stepdaughter) up on the days she has shool and I work. Morning are terrible for my exhaustion, making it hard for me to get out of bed to go to work. Hes been amazing.
  • Still cant believe this, but DH actually tidied our home! Right as i mentioned i hated the mess, he got up and tidied up. Hed normally never do that unless begging is involved. Love that he seems to be stepping up :)
