3. just trying to have lots of sex. took the month off of temping and charting hoping it will ease h's whatever that's been going on. it has been better this month.

4. not really sure. ff predicts o today but since i'm not temping i don't know. i'll try to hold out to test until 4/1.

5. i've basically been blah the last couple cycles and don't feel much different about this one.

I'm Fly106 from PR. Been trying to conceive #1 since July 2012. Had IUI on the 9th and currently on day 10. Inserting 200 mg of progesterone daily. BETA scheduled for the 26th. As the days go by I'm starting to feel more anxious. Really hoping IUI worked. I've heard stories about it usually not working the first time but I really hope it does.

QOTW: What is your favorite sign Spring is coming? Or favorite thing about Spring?

I love all the flowers blooming and listening to the birds sing.

Venting: Maybe I've been thinking about this a lot because obviously I'm affected by it BUT with so much incidence of infertility issues why do most insurances and employers keep not including it as part of medical treatment. Don't we have enough of emotional strain already. Why add a financial one too?

3. Working with RE. Had initial bloods, SA for husband, and HSG for me. Everything looks normal so the RE is comfortable with us trying on our own for a few more months. Charting, temping, opks.

4. I'm in my 2ww except I don't think we hit the window this month. I o'd really early after the hsg. Next CD1 should be around the 23rd.

5. I feel relieved that there are no obvious problems per the RE but a little sad and anxious because we are having a tough time at home and we have essentially agreed to put off really working at this for a while until we are on less rocky ground financially and emotionally.

QOTW: What is your favorite sign Spring is coming? Or favorite thing about Spring?

I grew up in a wilderness area so my favorite sign of spring is starting to see spring babies all around - calves and cubs and chicks and whatnot. That's always so cheering after a long hard winter.

Same old. Although thinking of cutting back on the acupuncture and herbs as they don't seem to be working. I think this will be my last cycle for herbs. I really like acupuncture, so I think I'll keep doing it. It looks like our medical costs may go up soon. Have my HSG in about an hour. H and I are divided on when to start trying meds. It seems like there is nothing medically wrong with us, so according to the doc is mostly a waiting game. I am sorta impatient and think maybe starting meds sooner makes sense. I don't know.

eh, idk. Last month I felt really hopeful and then had my hopes dashed. I'm feeling sorta noncommittal.

The flowers popping up! I know I live in SF and we don't really get winter, but we do see signs of spring around now. I almost started a post on this just to keep people hopeful.

Hello lovely ladies!!

Jill here from NC.

TTC #1 for 2 years now.

Still on my natural regime: exercise, low-carbs, Vitex, inositol, prenatals, flaxseed oil, preconception tea...added CoQ10 this cycle. Going to look into acupuncture as well. Temping/charting and will start OPKs soon.

I'm on CD9. Since I've been charting, my ovulation falls anywhere between CD18-29 (or not at all) so I have a bit of a wait until I know if this cycle has potential. I REALLY HOPE I OVULATE THIS CYCLE!!!

Feeling all over the place. A little defeated, a little hopeful, depends on the day really...

I LOVE SPRING! I can finally ride my bike again (another great form of exercise for me)!!!

@FLY106 - I agree about the insurance thing! I feel like I can't really get the answers/tests/medication I need because everything is so darn expensive! And every time I get something done, I'm wondering what the bill will be like. Some places assure me that it'll be covered by insurance but then it's not and I'm left with a huge bill :-(

Working with an RE but taking this cycle off. We have an ivf orientation on 4-6 and plan to have it done in April as well.
CD4 looks like AF is on her way out early. I won't miss her.
I'm hoping to pull a @Teenie16 this month!

I love the warmer air, birds singing, and green popping out everywhere.

Shout outs to recent grads, @emsmama15 and @FLY106 for a successful iui and @Dwmmwd for a smooth hsg

@jilligan14 and @fly106 I agree with you. I understand some states require coverage up to 6 ivf cycles. I know some groups are totally IF covered too. That would be something!

TTC #2, 7th medicated cycle

IUI #4, Gonal-F 200 IU for 7 days, acupuncture weekly, no alcohol (it's been SO tempting this month to just bag that plan for some reason), no pop, decreased caffeine, CoQ10, Vit E, Vit C, DHA.

4. Where are you in your cycle? (Waiting to O, 2WW etc) If in the 2ww when will you test?
2WW, 2 dpiui. Beta is on 4/30.
5. How do you feel about this cycle? (Are you hopeful, anxious... etc)
I feel like this is the one. We had 4 follies that were mature, good E2 level, had a sign from my mama in heaven. This month just feels different to me.

I just LOVE Spring. After a long Minnesota winter, Spring is amazing. My favorite part is the weather. And wearing flip flops.

@kindershlitz, I love it! And I hope you "pull a @Teenie16" too!

@suziq1978, hopefully your more relaxed approach works for you and your husband.

@FLY106, I hope your first IUI is the only one you need! And I totally agree about insurance. I have REALLY good insurance (covers up to 6 IUIs) but I pay a TON for it every two weeks. The insurance industry has to figure this out. So many people are needing fertility assistance. UGH!

@OldNell, I hope things get better at home. Trying to conceive is such an emotionally draining thing. Take care of yourself.

@Dwmmwd, starting meds is a big decision. Don't rule out impatience as a valid reason to move forward. I would never say that to someone who'd been trying two months, but you've been trying since July. I don't really see that as being impatient. I hope your HSG went well.

@jilligan14, fingers crossed for ovulation!

ETA: I obviously can't keep track of how many medicated cycles I've done without looking at my own signature. YIKES!

This is my second cycle hoping for #2.

Not doing anything at the moment, just trying to stay relaxed and not obsess.

I'm on CD4 and although af is slowing I still feel like I have crazy PMS. Very emotional, random boob pain...ugh. I think my body must be still trying to find it's groove after the D and C.

I'm feeling really conflicted at the moment. Part of me wants to keep hoping and part of me wants to just let go because I don't think it's going to happen. I think in June when it's time to go back on birth control I'm going to be extremely emotional about it. I'd like to be able to let it go but I can't seem to stop wanting this. It was such a let down that it didn't happen this cycle when it seemed like the timing was so good.

I love the sound of the birds singing in the morning and all the flowering trees. It's a nice little window before it gets hot so I'm trying to get us outside a lot.

I wish everyone a better cycle than the last one! I know a lot of us had our hopes dashed this month when we thought we had a good chance. FX for all of you!

Met with RE on Wednesday for IVF Consult.. We are moving forward and will hopefully start in April if not May. Issue is DH has urine in his semen and sperm in his urine so the acid is making the sperm not move. Met with a new WONDERFUL male infertility specialist yesterday who said he can absolutely help us and that we can get a great sample to do the IVF with. So we are excited to be moving forward, just a little nervous for what lies ahead.

Crazy week - a bit late on check-in

This is our ivf cycle. I have a couple of more days on OCPs then in one week have my baseline.

4. Where are you in your cycle? (Waiting to O, 2WW etc) If in the 2ww when will you test?

I honestly haven't had too much time to think about it. Since our clinic is far from us, i am taking sometime off work so i can stay nearby. So i have been super swamped getting things done at work and home in preparation for being gone. But i have to hopeful...this is our big "shot" at it!

QOTW: What is your favorite sign Spring is coming? Or favorite thing about Spring?

The rivers rising from the mountain snowmelt and the early wildflowers blooming. Although this year in CA we had spring for winter so its not as dramatic or exciting.

I will join the venting on the costs and lack of insurance coverage. I have joined a couple of discount programs and have rebate forms to lessen the expense on medications -- coupon clipping for expensive injectable meds. Its absurd really.

TTC #2- I have a soon to be 10 mo old little one. We are just in the beginning stages of trying for #2.

I have been exclusively breast feeding and just got my period for the first time last month. I am waiting to see what happens with my cycle. I used to be like clockwork every 28 days. Not sure what will happen now!

4. Where are you in your cycle? (Waiting to O, 2WW etc) If in the 2ww when will you test?

Period is due tomorrow. We had sex a few times without knowing if/when I was ovulating. We will see what happens. I plan to start temping and tracking/logging with my next cycle.

5. How do you feel about this cycle? (Are you hopeful, anxious... etc)

Curious to see if I go back to a normal pattern! Anxious and nervous to start trying again! Very hopeful

Fresh air and sun! I feel like a hermit living inside. I can't wait to get outside and breathe in fresh air!

2. How long have you been TTC? Are you TTC #1,#2,#3, etc.? Since miscarriage and D&C surgery May 2012, IVF/ICSI is our only option because of DH's dx.

3. What are you doing this cycle? Are you seeking help with a fertility specialist (RE)? If so, what stage are you in? Charting/temping? Testing? Medicated cycles? IUI? IVF? DE? Potentially IVF/ICSI #4 with a fresh PESA for DH and then CCS and later FET at the "big clinic".

4. Where are you in your cycle? (Waiting to O, 2WW etc) If in the 2ww when will you test? Estrogen Priming for IVF/ICSI #4 had LH surge on 3/09 started vivelle patches on 3/19 and on 3/20 cetrotide for three days. Will wait for AF for baseline next week, assuming we get approved for financing by our bank, the big clinic does not have a financing program, blah. So there is a chance we will have to delay and slowly pay towards the cycle

5. How do you feel about this cycle? (Are you hopeful, anxious... etc) Hopeful but DH and I are disagreeing about money, still, and even embryos to transfer my RE says 2 CCS normal for the best chance DH disagrees. Scared of doing all of this with a poor result. I want to wait and see if we can get any CCS Normals or anything to day 5 even for testing

QOTW: I am an outlier that loves winter and is sad to see it go.
