TTC after 35

Ovulation tests?

Hello I am new to this discussion page. I will be 36 next month. I have a 2 year old daughter and we recently started trying for baby #2. We got pregnant on the first try with our daughter. I got an app on my phone, it told me the days I was ovulating and it worked.
I am now using the same app. We have tried for 3 months. I realize that I shouldn't expect to get pregnant on the first try again. The problem is after going off the pill this time my period is so irregular. I'm worried that we aren't trying during the right time.
Can anyone suggest good ovulation tests or even weigh in on other ways to determine high fertility days?
Thank you.

The wondfo ovulation strips are good & cheap. Are you also checking for EWCM? When I first went of the pill it took my almost a year to have my cycles back to normal. I started seeing a naturopath & acupuncturist which I found helpful in brining my cycles back in line.

  • My cycles were wonky for 6 months post birth control.
The only way to pinpoint ovulation is through temping. Go to walmart and pick up a basil body thermometer and download the app fertility friend. It will give you tutorials about everything. Once you chart your temps you will see a pattern and will be able to pinpoint ovulation.
You can also get wondfo opk's off amazon . As pp said they are super cheap so you can test twice a day. If you do that along with temping you are golden.
And the book taking charge of your fertility is full of information.

  • Thank you so much! This is great information. I so appreciate it.
  • Welcome and good luck! I agree with other posts. It's frustrating when it happened quickly before.
