What does your dream nursery look like?

Hey Bumpies,

The Bump is excited to be partnering with interior design firm Laurel and Wolf to bring you inspiration for baby's nursery! Since we know many of you are in the midst of dreaming up nurseries, we want to hear what kind of space you'd love to see the designers put together first.

Is there a particular theme, color scheme, or style you're obsessed with that you want the designers to bring to life and show you how to get the look? Let us know what kind of nursery you imagine your LO pitter-pattering around in and the designers at Laurel and Wolf will create a dream nursery based on your ideas!

Thank you!
The Bump

Re: What does your dream nursery look like?

  • Sleeping under starry skies. No moon, just all shapes and sizes of gold stars on a midnight blue ceiling. lighter blue walls. Filled with dark wood furniture, lots of wall shelves for books, and a light wood floor with white area rug.
  • Loading the player...
  • Grey and white chevrons, blue and red nautical is what I'm working on. It's a progress because we're closing the loft to build a room for him. Just finished his quilt. Would love to see ideas for how to paint!
  • I love animals and would love to see what I can do for my small room. I'm like the Gray and pinks as they look really cute together, but kind of curious what other colours wouldniclimelight now I'm into the whole baby safari theme. Curious as to what this will look like. Thanks :D
  • I'm a huge Florida Gators fan and would love my son's room to be gator themed but not necessarily Florida Gator themed. I love orange and blue but not for his nursery. I'd love to see some green baby alligators with a darker blue and white color scheme.
  • I'm skipping the dream nursery this go around because Lo will eventually be sharing a room with her big sister.

If I could dream up the perfect nursery it would be a sort of whimsical fairy/princess room. It would have white walls with bare tree silhouettes, a light wood floor, crystal chandelier, all white furniture, gold accent pieces like little birds figurines and lamps to sit on dressers and side tables. Of course it would have a glider chair and ottoman in white with gold cushions.

That's my dream nursery. Sadly the reality is a pack and play, a swing, and an arm chair nestled into a large corner of the master bedroom. lol
  • Sailor stuff. With dark blue and teal. =) but we aren't doing a nursery. He has to share a room with his sister.
  • We're working on a classic car theme for our little viking, something he can grow up with. Our main colors are grey, navy, and white.. with a slight touch of red and yellow. DH and I have been building classic car models from the late 60's to early 70's, we also repainted his changing table to look like a tool cart and will do the same with his dresser (make it look like a tool box)... just waiting on the snap on emblems to come in.

We gathered vintage license plate from our home state and where we are stationed now to add to the walls.

Would love some more unique ideas to add to the room!
... Our little viking is in the making ...

  • My little man is getting a pirate themed nursery. Hubby and I are so excited to finally decorate one of the bedrooms in our four bedroom home so we are going all out. The colours are blue, white with specks of gold and red all around.
  • For my son, I'm doing and industrial, rustic theme. I'm doing a wood wall and lots of black metal pipe-like accents. Would love some inspiration.
