us today. . . no fetal pole

So I had my 1st appointmemt today. By lmp I should be 6.1. . . By when I thought I ovulated, (I wasn't 100% sure of when I ovulated for the first time in forever) I should be 6.3. . . But the US showed a gestational sac and a yolk sac, but no fetal pole. The np said she would date me at about 5 weeks. They drew betas and they are on a rush so I'll know something tonight or tomorrow morning. . . Second beta draw Monday morning and consult. . . I'm well aware the betas will make or break me on this. . . Anyone have HAPPY stories come out of a similar situation?

    It's so early! My daughter was 2 weeks off at the first ultrasound because I ovulated late and I'm kind of going through it again with this little bean! I'm sure you will see more in a week! I know hard hard it is to wait and not worry, but try too! It's better for you and the baby!

    Never go by your last period, I did that my first pregnancy and freaked myself out. According to last period I was supposed to be 8 weeks, went in and they said your only measuring at 4 and there is no fetal pole and there should be. Turns out I ovulated really late and all was good:). By what your doc said about measuring 5 weeks, you are right on track then and fetal pole still has time to develop:)

    I was in the same situation with my daughter.  I had a second u/s a little over a week later and saw her heartbeat. :)

    Update: hcg was 7000. Progesterone results not back yet. More te d ts on Monday. Time to hurry up and wait.

    I go in to have a blood draw Monday to check my levels because an ultrasound the local pregnancy center did showed me being a week and a half behind - not near as much of a gap as your situation - so the hospital wants to just check things out. I'm hoping everything turns out well for all of us!

    I know when I ovulated, and my ultrasound dated 12 days smaller than I expected. I keep reading stories about how women must have ovulated late when that happens, but I'm starting to wonder if maybe embryo growth is not as uniform as they say it is. Maybe not all of these women are ovulating late. Or maybe that is wishful thinking on my part. I'll find out on Friday if mine is still growing. Fingers crossed!

    BFP 2/19/15  •  MMC found at 9 wks  •  D&E at 11 wks (age 36)
    BFP 8/29/15      •  CP (age 37)
    BFP 11/18/15  •  DD born at 41 weeks <3(age 37/38)

    TTC#2 since May 2017
    BFP 10/18/17  •  MMC found at 8 wks  •  Misoprostal at 10.5 wks (age 39)
    BFP 2/16/18      •  CP (age 39)
    BFP 4/13/18      •  CP (age 39)
    BFP 5/07/18  •  MMC found at 10.5 wks  •  D&E at 11.5 wks      •  Testing showed it was a girl with Trisomy 22. (age 39/40)
    9/5/18 Diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve (4-5 follicles, one ovary had none and was very atrophied)
    RE says the low egg count is likely causing my recurrent pregnancy loss. Less eggs results in more aneuploidy.
    BFP 9/24/18  •      CP (age 40)
    BFP 5/11/19  •  Fraternal twins  •  MMC found at 10w5d (Baby A 6w, Baby B 10w)  •  Misoprostal at 11 weeks (age 41)

    I thought I was 8 and 3 and the first us showed me at 5 with no fetal pole. 9 days later fetal pole with a heartbeat. Don't give up

    Yup first pregnancy ultrasound dated it real earlier. Betas were fine : ) he's healthy and happy20 month old.

    EnlgishProf I went in on 3/11 and only measured 5 wks with the gestational sac (I knew all my dates, but sometimes those little ones take their time!), my follow up u/s is on 3/25 - only two more days and I can barely wait any longer!! Here's hoping we both get good news soon!

    Im in the same boat im supposed to be 7 weeks today but instead im 6 weeks . Only a week behind . I have my next u/s in 3 more weeks 4/6 . Hoping everything works out for you and try not to worry.

    Update: First beta was 7000 2nd one drawn today. U/S today showed a fetal pole measuring at 6w4d. . .no heartbeat detected (but we are staying positive) gestational sac only measured at 5w4d though. . . Another U/S and appointment on Thursday. So more hurry up and wait. . .

    Same exact thing happened to me! I should have been 6 weeks exactly and I measured at 5w3d and today went back for a follow up ultrasound and there was our beautiful babe with a strong heartbeat. Positive thoughts!! Everything will be okay!
