The smell of my cinnamon scented bedding makes me want to puke!!!

Oh my heavens. So my sense of smell is off the CHARTS lately, and I found that any new smell that I come across will instantly make me want to puke. Food, house smells, cinnamon, toothpaste, ANYTHING! Good or bad! Lately I've been having a hard time sleeping because my pillowcase smells like apples and cinnamon (I used to obsess over my home smelling this way). And now? The slightest hint of apples and cinnamon makes my stomach churn. I tried washing my pillowcases so it smelled like downy! Nope: sick. Tried spraying fresh cotton fabreeze on it! Nope: sick. So, finally, tonight as I was laying here next to my sleeping husband in defeat, a thought occurred to me! During the day whenever I get a smell that makes me sick, I put my nose to my wrist where I wear my perfume and it helps me feel better!!! Duh!!! So I promptly got out of bed and sprayed my pillowcase thoroughly with my perfume!!! Haha my husband woke up for a second a little confused but I'm currently lying down and feeling much better!!!! Don't know why I didn't think of it earlier! Am I the only one that sensitive to smells?!?!

  • So far parmesan cheese (the cheap stuff kept in the fridge for spaghetti) makes me want to puke. I was more sensitive with my 1st.
  • I'm horrible with smell. The thought that something may smell makes me gag.

  • We were at a dinner party last weekend and I started freaking out bc I could smell something burning... The other guests thought I was crazy until 30 seconds later, then they could smell it.. I didn't realize the ol' olfactory glands could be so sensitive.

Suggestion - put your sheets outside in the sun for a day (unless you live in a smoggy area). They should come back smelling alot fresher.
  • My husbands deodorant bleh! It's awful!
  • Dog food.. I can hardly think about it!
  • Could it be that the apples and cinnamon smell has soaked into the pillow itself?
  • Yes yes the smells wow everything smells so bad o lord my son smells like cafeteria food my hubbys body cream I pretty much cried because of the smell my couch smells and its leather I can't wash with anything scented or I just can't wear it or be near it , I have an assorted kind of neighbors that cook very fragrant foods and the best one is my dqn stars neighbor that smokes like a chimney!!!! Cumin!!! I was craving pasta salad, so I made some (that I have made before) that calls for cumin. Well, I ate it after I made it and was fine. The next day (and all the following days) I have not been able to stand the smell of cumin. The pasta salad absolutely disgusts me, and I can NOT stand the smell of cumin AT ALL. It's really weird because that is the only smell I have noticed that bothers me. I am grossed out even talking about it!
  • Pretty much any thing that normally smells, like 50 x worse now. There's a smell in my kitchen sink I can't get rid of!! I've tried bleach, cleaning the sink, running the disposal forever... Gah! And dog food, ugh.
