Too big too early.

I'm only 5 weeks and 3 days. My tummy is bigger than average. I'm showing already and my symptoms are 2x as strong. What does this mean? Any suggestions?

  • That's the crazy part I nevef bloat, not even with periods. I'm concerned about having twins, those run in my family. Symptoms of anything are normal for me yet pregnancy is not my strong suit.
  • I'm also bloating pretty bad. Gotta go shopping soon for my flowy shirts, so the bloating doesn't give away baby to all my coworkers. I'm only 6wk 5d and feel like I look 5 mos preggo.
  • I get bloated with my period, and have with both of my previous pregnancies, but not this time. The baby (babies) are too small right now to be making you show. There could be 8 embryos in there and it would look the same as one on the surface. No worries, just relax and enjoy the ride!
  • Same. I'm not hiding it though I'm flaunting my angel baby. No need to cover up lol it will do me no good. Everyone knows from my moods and breaths. My friend said she didn't look pregnant until 5 months. She says I'm ahead of the game. I googled it and it said it could be twins.

Just because you don't bloat with periods doesn't mean you won't while pregnant. Most of us have a lot of bloating with pregnancy. And I can promise you whether it were twins or not, they would be too small and too low to be showing. I totally understand the thoughts and concerns, but you wouldn't be able to tell just by the look of your belly at 5 weeks
  • thank you so much! Love the support and cares!
  • When you are pg your entire digestive system slows down, and then you bloat. This is not the same as period bloat. Bloating is one of the most common early pregnancy symptoms

  • ^ what she said. Throw out everything your body did before. This is all new.
You'll likely bloat and then it'll go down for a while and then the real bump will grow.
I'm always biggest at the end of the day but then I wake up with no bloat at all.
  • I bloat all day every day unfortunately. It's okay though my baby or babies are comfortable.
