For those of you who plan for this baby to be your last, what are your future birth control plans? I think I will probably get my tubes tied. Therefore, I am considering whether it may be a good idea to have a CS with this baby instead of surgery shorty after the baby is born. I had a VBAC with my second child, the first was via emergency CS, and I'm having trouble coming to terms with planning a CS when it is not medically necessary and my last delivery was vaginal.
Anyone else in the same or similar position?
Re: Last baby?
My only concern is hearing from others that some Doctors will not tie your tubes depending on age. I'm 27 and known I want to be done.
I don't really know that much about having your tubes tied so can't be that much help with that. Maybe you could plan it if you have to have a cs anyway- breach or some other complication?
This too. We feel our family will be complete with two children. One day, when DH and I were talking about kids, he just offered up that he would go get "snipped" after baby 2 arrives. I've been on BC for a long while so he said he did want me to have to take any more pills or go through another surgery (first baby was a CS) so he'll be taking one for the team
I'd rather my husband get snipped because it's a lot less invasive so I hear. Otherwise I could just do the birth control pill which was great before.
Also, is it easier to get your tubes tied with a c-section? I know some people that have had them tied and couldn't be happier.
