Tent camping

In response to those of us who thought the last post was about camping...lol
We are leaving early tomorrow morning for the Grand Canyon! We will be tent camping for 3 nights and I have to admit, I'm a bit nervous - I did check with the nurse and she said it should be fine - just nothing too strenuous.
Anyone have any tips? Suggestions? Or previous experiences camping while pregnant? Should I be worried? Thanks in advance!!

Re: Tent camping

  • I went on two first trimester backpacking trips last time.. This early you dot have much to worry about, but if you are hiking, make sure to snack often! I found if I went too long without a snack it really affected me a lot. Were planning a 70 mile backpack trip in July with hubby a friend and my one year old daughter... Now THAT I'm starting to question unless someone hauls up a matress for me ;)

I am going camping in the middle of May. I am going to be as lazy as possible while there and spend time relaxing :)
  • We usually camp Canada day weekend in a town about an hour from where we live. A bunch of friends go. We're probably going to make a day trip out instead of camping this year. I don't think my body could take it. But, if you're someone who camps a lot and is used to it I don't think you'd have many issues camping with fetus.
