Been having contractions since last night at 5pm... they're getting more painful now... I'm having a home birth... what do you stm do to distract yourself during this longer first stage? @aregula does this feel real to you? When I timed them for 5hrs I was like no way...
Sounds like you're in early latent labor. I went through the same thing. Since Saturday! It's annoying and can be exhausting and painful. But I'm in active now, and my contractions are so much more tolerable than they ever were with my fast labors. Just think of it as your body laying down a great foundation for a great birth! I did light housework and rested as much as possible to keep distracted.
