Fertility Centers

Hello all,

Quick question..has anyone had any positive experiences with any fertility centers in Northern IL. I am looking for a dr. with good  IUI success rates, friendly, and a clinic that doesn't have a lot of hidden costs. I would appreciate any feedback. Hope everyone has a good Thursday.

I don't know if this will help, but when I was diagnosed with an extremely large fibroid last March, my ob/gyn sent me to Dr. Charles Miller at the Advanced IVF Institute. Although I wasn't technically going through fertility treatments, he and his staff were pretty awesome. He performed my surgery in May, and I became pregnant in November. He's well known for being an infertility specialist, however I don't know specific success rate numbers. He has offices in Schaumburg and Naperville.

I also had success with Dr. Charles Miller. I have severe endometriosis and with the help of two surgeries performed by Dr. Miller and 1 IVF cycle at his office (we had completed 3 failed cycles with another RE previously) we are now expecting twins this summer. He also helped a friend of mine who suffers from PCOS. After her first IVF cycle with Dr. Miller, she is also expecting twins this summer.

We went to Advanced Fertility in Gurnee. We ended up getting pregnant on our own but went through testing with them and DH and followed through on their vitamin recommendations for DH which apparently did the trick. We were one cycle away from IUI. They were very nice, helpful and upfront with costs.

I also went to advanced fertility in Gurnee. They were great. The staff of nurses were always there to help and are very clear about costs. They want the best for their patients and their goal is to help you get pregnant. My husband and I did one round of ivf and had a failed fresh cycle. Our first frozen cycle resulted in twins!!!

Dr Jacobs at FCI in Buffalo Grove is very good. At least worth a consult. I would not recommend their downtown location if you are looking for any sort of personalized care. High volume clinic and you can be nameless to the staff.

I also recommend Dr. Laurence Jacobs at FCI.  He works out of Buffalo Grove and Crystal Lake.  For IVF he works with the Highland Park office.

We used Eve Feinberg at FCI-Highland Park and loved her.  I would highly recommend.

I went through 6 years of infertility.  Below are my doctor experiences:

Dr. Hickey (Hinsdale Hospital): Very nice & knowledgeable staff.  I saw the doctor very often, which is unusual.  After a failed IVF cycle, I decided to try another doctor.  Of the 3 I have seen, I found them the most personable and enjoyable practice.

Dr. Miller (Edward Hospital): I did not have the positive experience others did.  We liked him very much at first.  He was very positive and had ideas to try different things.  However, in the end, he did everything exactly the same as Dr. Hickey.  We went through 2 cycles.  I only saw him on procedure day and during my 1st and last consultations. During the last, he told me I need to "give it up and move onto to donor eggs".  DH and I think he is more about his statistics than his patient's wishes.

Dr. Scoccia (UIC):  It is far from my house, I have to pay for parking and the staff is not unorganized.  With that said, he has got me pregnant 3 times.  The 1st resulted in a miscarriage due to chromosomal issues.  However, I have 1 perfect toddler and another due next month.  My husband says he can implant anyone.

    Good luck!
