TTC after 35

Popping back in to say hi (update)

Hi ladies,

I truly miss being on this board and I wanted to give an update on my journey and also to see what BFPs I've missed. The past few months have been rough for my marriage and our finances that we've decided to put the baby making on hold. All of our testing came back very good so perhaps we still have a shot at having a second child but right now is not the time. My heart aches but I know this is the right choice for us right now. I've been holding a lot of resentment towards DH and his lack of effort to make our financial situation better, and now he is at high risk of losing his job.

I hope I missed a lot of BFPs and I want you to know that so many of you have helped me along this journey. I think of you often and hope our paths cross again someday.

Cheers,
Melissa

  • Glad to hear all your testing came back good but I'm sorry you are having a tough time.
I miss you here but if things are stressful at home than I agree that you should put ttc on hold. I hope your husband doesn't loose his job. I know the job market isn't great on Long Island. My husband has his contract renewal this year so we have to anticipate a strike and I'm panicking. My husband pays the bills and without his income we are screwed.
I know you were looking to change jobs, did that ever happen?
I hope all works out for you and when you do come back sure I will be here still.
    Hugs to you.

  • I remember you but I'm not sure if we were on here at the same time or if it's from lurking. I'm really sorry you're having such a tough time. I hope everything will work out so you can move forward. All this stress is definitely not good for TTC and a break is probably a good idea, but I hope it will be short. Best of luck to you and your h during this difficult time.
