Positive PT after a chemical miscarriage

I had a chemical miscarriage on or about 13 Feb. I was 5w2d. I had blood tests done on 14 Feb and again on 17 Feb and my doc said my hCG levels were very low (although I never did get an actual umber) but it was a confirmed chemical miscarriage. I bled for about 9 days. Then on 15 Mar I just had a "feeling" and I took a HPT and it was positive. Could it be left over hCG in my blood for over 30 days? I don't want to get my hopes up too high but from everything I've been reading online it sounds like my levels would return to "normal" pretty quickly considering I was not that far along. Has anyone else had  something like this happen to them? Thanks!

    The only way to know for sure is to have your beta levels drawn and then repeated after two days to see if they are rising. That would be an indicator that you are indeed pregnant again.
