Re: Weekly Check In March 11

  • 1. suziq1978, central IL

    2. ttc #4, cycle 7

    3. I decided to just let things be this month.  I'm not temping or charting.  I'm not paying attention to cm.  I did look at ff for when it "expects" ovulation to occur and so I have those dates in the back of my mind.  H wasn't into sex last month so maybe with me not forcing that this month it will be better.  We'll see.

    4. Waiting to O, cd9

    5. Blah.  I don't know how I feel right now.

QOTW: I read that The Breakfast Club turned 30 last month! What was you favorite childhood/teen movie or TV show? (Or both)
I was probably too old when I started watching it, but I LOVED Saved by the Bell.  It's still a guilty pleasure of mine to watch it if it's on.  :)

Feel free to add any vents or shout outs.

    2. How long have you been TTC? Are you TTC #1,#2,#3, etc.?
    TTC#1 for 12 months

    3. What are you doing this cycle? Are you seeking help with a fertility specialist (RE)? If so, what stage are you in? Charting/temping? Testing? Medicated cycles? IUI? IVF? DE?
We took a 2 month break for my DH to have a procedure done on his blocked ejaculatory duct. The procedure was a success in producing a ton of sperm, however now none of them are swimming.  So we have our IVF consult on Tuesday.

    4. Where are you in your cycle? (Waiting to O, 2WW etc) If in the 2ww when will you test?
    CD3
    5. How do you feel about this cycle? (Are you hopeful, anxious... etc)
an entire range of emotions.. all centered around the possibility of IVF..
QOTW: I read that The Breakfast Club turned 30 last month! What was you favorite childhood/teen movie or TV show? (Or both)
Growing Pains and BH 90210 are tied.. and a whole host of others.  Movie would have to be Say Anything

  • 1. Your Name or Screen Name (not full names) and State you are from. efhoping2010, WY

    2. How long have you been TTC? Are you TTC #1,#2,#3, etc.? Since miscarriage and D&C surgery May 2012, IVF/ICSI is our only option because of DH's dx.

    3. What are you doing this cycle? Are you seeking help with a fertility specialist (RE)? If so, what stage are you in? Charting/temping? Testing? Medicated cycles? IUI? IVF? DE? Potentially IVF/ICSI #4 with a fresh PESA for DH and then CCS and later FET at the "big clinic".

    4. Where are you in your cycle? (Waiting to O, 2WW etc) If in the 2ww when will you test?  Estrogen Priming for IVF/ICSI #4 had LH surge on 3/09 starting vivelle patches on 3/19 and on 3/20 cetrotide for three days.

    5. How do you feel about this cycle? (Are you hopeful, anxious... etc) Hopeful but DH and I are disagreeing about money paying for this cycle.  Scared of doing all of this with a poor result.

  • Hi ladies!

    Jill here from NC.

TTC #1 for about 2 years now

TTC naturally, despite having PCOS: Temping, OPK's, prenatals, Vitex, inositol supplements, exercise, low carbs, etc.

My crazy cycle finally ended (I never O'd)!! AF showed up yesterday, so I'm CD2. As much as I usually hate seeing AF, I was glad this time because it means I can start afresh on a new cycle.

I'm really hoping this cycle is better. Last cycle was just a nightmare (waiting to O and never getting it). There's nothing like a fresh start to clear the slate and feel positive. Hubby and I have talked about giving it one more *natural* cycle before going on to Clomid and other drugs/methods. I'm not morally opposed to drugs or anything, my body's just used to doing things naturally and anytime there are side effects listed for a drug, I usually get them. So am a bit nervous about Clomid but will try it if this cycle is unsuccessful.

    LOVED Dirty Dancing!

    Good luck to everyone!
ME: 36 (PCOS), DH: excellent SA
NTNP since 11/12, actively trying since 8/14
    m/c @ 7w (4/22/14), m/c @ 6w (11/19/14)
11/15: Letrozole, Ovidrel, TI = BFP!!!
    Beta #1(14dpo)=349, Beta #2(18dpo)=2,805
12/17/15: Got to see the heartbeat (105bpm)!
    1/25/16: NT scan = normal (HB=163bpm)
    EDD: 8/10/16
    8/8/16: Baby boy born @ 12:25am, 8lbs, 20.5 inches
    5/18/17: BFP!!! (11dpo)
    Beta #1(12dpo)=176.4, Beta #2(15dpo)=607.1

    2. This is the first cycle since my D&C in January that we've been cleared to have sex. My h said he didn't want to try again but he hasn't been careful so I'm hoping I might have a chance. ETA this would be #2. Also to add that although my h said he didn't want to try again I know if we had a successful pregnancy he would be ok with it. He just doesn't want to go through any more painful situations.

    3. I've been temping and charting, checked my cervix a couple times out of curiosity. Paying attention to cm. I didn't OPK since I'm not really technically supposed to be TTC.

    4. I am on CD23. If no af by CD29 I will test.

    5. I feel good one day, anxious the next. I go from being hopeful to thinking I don't feel like it's going to happen. Your basic TWW rollercoaster.

QOTW: I absolutely loved Sixteen Candles growing up. I also loved Growing Pains, had a huge crush on Kirk Cameron. Oh and Who's the Boss- Allyssa Milano was my girl idol.
Me:41, DH:41 Positive for MTHFR mutations- one copy C677T, one copy A1298C. One daughter born on Thanksgiving in 2013. Six losses.

    3.
    Charting/temping/OPK's/ 7.5mg Femara CD3-7/ TI
    / Metformin
    4. CD26, FF says I'm 10DPO but I say 18DPO based on OPK and temp surge.  I know OPK's aren't the best way to test for O having PCOS. AF was due today - I've been averaging 26 day cycles.  I've been taking HPT's every day for 5 days and all BFN's
    5. I'm very hopeful about this cycle.  I'm having all the symptoms - I just wish that little line would show up!!

QOTW: I read that The Breakfast Club turned 30 last month! What was you favorite childhood/teen movie or TV show? (Or both)
FAVORITE by far was PRETTY IN PINK!!  I also loved Silver Spoons and later, Melrose Place and 90210 of course!

    2. TTC #2 a long time
    3. Iui#2 included Femara, trigger.
    4. No AF yet but expected tomorrow. BFN yesterday and I sense the arrival.
    5. BFNs make me not hopeful. We are meeting April 6 to discuss ivf. Taking this cycle off from any intervention.

QOTW: my favorite TV show was 90210 as a teen+ but my younger years I liked Cosby Show and Murder, She Wrote. It was very out of character that my mom and I would watch MSW on Sunday night but we did!

@jilligan14 I can't remember have you done any testing yet? There are a few things your dr can do before resorting to meds if you're thinking about it.edit- refreshed my memory from one of your other posts.

Shout out to @2pupsnokids to see how you're doing!

    2. How long have you been TTC? Are you TTC #1,#2,#3, etc.?
    TTC #1 9 mos.

    3. What are you doing this cycle? Are you seeking help with a fertility specialist (RE)? If so, what stage are you in? Charting/temping? Testing? Medicated cycles? IUI? IVF? DE?
temping, met with RE and everything seemed pretty good. Everything else natural at the moment-acupuncture, herbs, Opk.

    4. Where are you in your cycle? (Waiting to O, 2WW etc) If in the 2ww when will you test?
14 dpo.  Tested this morning. BFN. But no AF and should have been here today.
    5. How do you feel about this cycle? (Are you hopeful, anxious... etc)
I am getting more hopeful, but it is scary to let myself begin to believe. No signs of AF except for a temp drop a few days ago and a small amount of cramping.  In the past 8 cycles, I have only gotten to 14 dpo once.  It has always been like clockwork 12 or 13.
QOTW: I read that The Breakfast Club turned 30 last month! What was you favorite childhood/teen movie or TV show? (Or both)
Wow, people had a lot on here that I loved.  I did love the Cosby show, but all the stuff with him lately puts a little damper on that.  I also had a special place in my heart for 90210, as well as Party of 5.  Oh there were a lot.

Feel free to add any vents or shout outs.
I want to thank my TWW folks for the encouragement.  And to all our grads, I hope you're doing well still. I haven't had a chance to read the grad board recently.

  • @jilligan14 My OB ordered an HSG and did some bloodwork. However, the bloodwork did not check something I needed- thyroid. Some people prefer to have the hsg done through the RE's office, mine was done at our local hospital and I was able to retrieve the images/report to give to the RE. My OB did prescribe Clomid but it wasn't right away and he did monitor me. I ended up going to an RE after 16/17 months of trying. I thought I was ok with my pace but in retrospect I'm annoyed I didn't go to the RE sooner. Especially since his tests indicated a thyroid issue that 'could' have been an issue. Are you still with the specialist? I have had my blood tested a lot since working with the RE- a baseline draw (several in between since I was doing iui) as well as a post ovulatory one to check for progesterone and such.

Anyway, going back to the hsg, I have had two done. We immediately conceived DS the cycle following. Sometimes even if you don't have a fully blocked tube the fluid can sort of clear you out. My second did nothing for us.

I'm sure others can weigh in here! Might be worth starting a new thread.
  • Haven't checked in in a couple of weeks but have been following all of your threads. On mobile, we'll see how this goes:

    1. Stairbear, age 38, CT

    2. TTC #2 for a couple of months

    3. I went for a regular annual OB/gyn appt early last month. Was my first time seeing this doctor (we moved last year), and I really liked her. I didn't know what was going on with my cycles, as I haven't had a period since 2012 (before conceiving DD). And I went off the progesterone-only pill in early 2015 and...nothing. The doc said, after the exam, that she expected me to get a period within 2-4 weeks. That was exactly 4 weeks ago. Still nothing. I have POAS a few times -- no pregnancy -- and I'm not sure what to do at this point. I am still breastfeeding a little, but the doc said not enough to affect my cycles.

    4. See above. Who knows.

    5. Stressed about a lot of things right now, and this is one of them.

QOTW: I remember when the original Degrassi Junior High aired, it blew my little mind. In the first episode, when Stephanie changed from a modest outfit into a bustier in the bathroom, pre-pubescent me was like, "Whaaaaaa?"

Shout-out: Kinderschlitz, I know you were hoping the IUI would work and you could avoid IVF, so you must be disappointed/discouraged, but it seems like you are handling it well, doing your homework on IVF, moving forward... Everyone: hang in!
