Newbie, wanting support...

Hi everyone!

So as you can see in my signature my DH and I had our first son in Sept 2011. We conceived very quickly, easy delivery, etc. Last year, we started TTC again. I had 2 miscarriages at 12 weeks, in May and again in Nov. Because of the miscarriages, we both went through the initial fertility tests. As far as me, I just have long cycles (so I have irregular ovulation and my CM is irregular) and I have long luteal phase disorder due to low progesterone (which explains the two miscarriages as I'm don't make enough to sustain the pregnancy). My hubby had a semen analysis. He has a low count (18 million) but good shape and motility. I started BBT charting to at least confirm ovulation so I know when we can quit BD under pressure.

I'm just wanting support. I really want another baby, but I'm scared of having another miscarriage. And scared of not being able to get pregnant again. Anyone else have a similar situation, or at least conceived under difficult circumstances?

    Sorry you find yourself here, but welcome. And so sorry for your losses...

    I'm in a similar situation. Conceived #1 no problem, but have been trying for over a year for #2. Had one miscarriage back in November.

    Like you, I'm terrified to have another miscarriage, but the way I see it, the only other option is to stop trying and I'm not ready for that yet. And of course I'm scared of not getting pregnant again, ever, but we found a good RE who is helping us through. At this point, I just have to focus on the good things I already have, and hold on to hope that we can still have another healthy baby. I hope you can do the same!

    I'm so sorry about your miscarriages. :( While I haven't had one myself, I can relate to the frustration of having an easy time conceiving the first time around and then having to wait so long for baby #2. It only took 4 cycles for us to conceive our first child, but now we're moving on to cycle 14 this time around. We just saw an RE for the first time last month and haven't finished with all of the testing yet. What I know so far is that my progesterone level was good, but DH's SA showed that he had slightly low morphology. I have to go back to the RE on Wednesday for some additional blood work and an ultrasound. Hope to learn more after those results come back.

    I also started temping just last month. I had always worried that it may be stressful, but for me, I ended up finding it to be reassuring and interesting to learn about.

    What did your doctor recommend for you after you got all of your testing done?
