Does your 6-7 mos. old hold own bottle? My DD puts her hands on it but dosent seem to try to hold it unless I let go for a minute and she does work to get it. No rush at all but just curious if others at this age are holding it for the most part.
My LO will hold it for a couple minutes if I place his hands and let go -- if he's really hungry. After he's had a bit, he will not hold it. I think he has to feel motivated to make the effort. I don't mind -- I'm savoring our eating/cuddle times.
My baby is almost 8 months old and although he is perfectly able to hold his bottle, he has no interest in it. Unless he is absolutely starving, he seems to prefer that I hold it for him. Fine by me because I wasn't able to breastfeed for very long, so I feel that it's our way of bonding :-) Interestingly - he does hold a sippy cup. Probably because I never held that for him, so he just grabs it whenever he wants it.
Our LO is almost 7 mths and he has been holding his bottle for a while now. I only let him do it if he "offers." Most of the time he's happy just sitting back and letting Mom or Dad do the work, lol. (Can't say I blame him...)
My LO is almost 7 months and he holds his own bottle now. I generally hold him during his feelings for the extra snuggle time but he just takes the bottle and plops his head back.
