it makes me mad when...

Just made myself a late night snack of mac and cheese, then the hubby came down and stole half. I was so mad!

What makes you mad that may or may not be completely ridiculous to the normal mind?

Re: it makes me mad when...

  • My husband took a nap yesterday with our 2 year old after telling me I had no time for a nap. I was making food for a church function and a boy scout banquet getting angrier by the second. My tired butt WANTED that NAP.

  • stealing my food is a big no no. It's a huge double standard since I'll steal food off of my husbands plate (the difference being it's one bite not half my food). haha. That and when my husband eats out of the pan or the pot instead of just grabbing a plate or waiting till It's finished, Oooooh that one makes me sooo mad. That and putting a used spoon back into food, especially yogurt or dairy since it turns runny and nasty afterwards. I've given up though in the four years I've tried training him out of it he's just gotten worse. Now I just give him the stink eye and move on. haha
  • It makes me mad when I take the trouble to straighten all the pillows on the couch, fold up the blankets, and clean the living room, and then my husband comes home from work or wherever and messes it all up again!

  • My husband is currently unemployed.  I feel like we all our meals out at fast food places or more expensive restaurants because I feel to ill to get up and cook and he doesn't like cooking.  I would love it if, instead of playing his guitar for hours on end, he would just make a few healthy meals so that I could eat better during this first trimester morning sickness. :(

@anorthro In my family I am the unemployed one, but the hubby works from home (his job is in video games, which is annoying in its own rights). We end up eating out because cooking sounds absolutely terrible to me and hubby does not cook and he also works constantly. I have made a few meals, mostly pasta based so they were easy to cook and didn't make me feel miserable while cooking them... Or maybe get a bunch of stuff and throw it in the crockpot when you are feeling well? Or freezer meals for the crockpot. Give him some recipes and have him put all the ingredients in a freezer bag, then freeze it and when you are ready for it throw it all in a crock pot.
  • My husband is also unemployed. I get so angry in the morning when I am tired and having to go to work with morning sickness and he can sleep in. I know he doesn't stay in bed after I go and is applying for work all day but I'm still hopelessly jealous. I kinda yelled at him about it this morning but then felt bad when I got to work and remembered it's his birthday so called to apologize. He wasn't even mad and thinks my emotions are hilarious...

  • My husband is the KING of throwing pillows on the floor and walking away! We just got a new couch because I couldn't take it anymore. My sole requirement was that the Cushins (how do you spell that?!) be attached!
  • I hate having to pick up my husbands dirty socks I have never seen someone change their socks so many times in one day. And I tell him about it then five minutes later find another pair to pick up. Drives me crazy. And don't get me started on the toys all over the place lol
  • When DH ignores anything I say or send in a text. He is plastered to his phone and will answer it at the dinner table (another HUGE pet peeve) if it involves any extra curricular activities he is involved in. However, I have now asked him three times in 3 hours to let me know his plans. And not even a phone call or a text. I swear if I even hear him repeat the statement "it happens every year, its not my fault, I'm not apologizing" he will be sleeping in the spare room.
  • My partner just woke me up to snuggle which ordinarily would be super sweet BUT I'm filled with irrational anger as I lay awake still an hour later as he snores away! Constantly exhausted but if I wake up my brain starts going and can't get back to sleep!
  • @AlissaSchmid the other night my husband was snoring away and I almost got up and went into the guest room to sleep it made me so mad! I have trouble falling asleep if he gets to it before me :(
  • @AlissaSchmid Oof mine snores so loud. If I'm not already sleeping on the couch because of comfort issues I end up there anyways with the TV on, pillow over my head, and the damn bedroom door shut !
  • I'm starving but everything sounds/tastes gross! I'm not even craving much of anything today...

DH hardly gets me mad but the people at work make up for that...
  • My favorite is when I put my food in the fridge at work, and when I come back for it, there are parts missing.  Like today, my pudding was gone.  I know it sounds silly to most people, but I was really looking forward to it.  A lot of people got an ear full.

  • @nbear618 I am super paranoid about people touching my lunch. And I would be livid if someone took my pudding. Like, shaking mad.

Speaking of anger, anyone using the app for this site? The "draft saved" bar sometimes fills me with irrational rage. Covers what I'm writing and the stupid app is pretty buggy onmy (guess the app didn't want a space there) phone so I get stupid errors like the space thing or some weird auto-fill thing. While writing this post, my phone literally put in "hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" because apparently, I had typed that in previously.

Anyway, end of rant. Technology is rage-inducing. v.v
