First Father's Day ideas

This was brought up a few months back, but nothing really came of it...I am at a complete loss of what to get my DH for his first Fathers Day (I'm due 6/3). I want to do something memorable since it's his first, not just a gift I would have given him for any other holiday. So, what did/are you all doing for Father's Day?

I was going to take him to a local winery for dinner, wine tasting, and concert. Kids are more than welcome and I figured I may try a little but not a big wine drinker. Edd 6/2 so l.o. will be here. Make sure your dh does something nice for you for mothers day too! Being in your last month you more than deserve it.

I have ds hold the letters D-A-D in pictures and put them in a three-picture frame. I do a new one each year. This year with the new baby I will have both the kids in the pictures.

I have been pondering this for months now. I am thinking about taking baby's footprints with a little poem and putting it in a frame, I am not really sure though! Someone at work was snarky and told me his baby is his gift. Please people.

I'm getting DH a Steelers diaper bag so he won't have to use the super feminine one that I've picked out for myself (plus, he loves anything Steelers-related, so I know this will be a big hit). I'll probably also get him something small and cute from DD, maybe a framed picture of the two of them for his desk at work or a picture book that they can read together. It's going to be my dad's first Father's Day as a grandpa, so I plan on doing the same type of thing for him: the picture book will be Ten Gallon Bart (my dad's name is Bart) and, if possible, a framed picture of him with DD for his work desk. Not sure if the picture will be possible for my dad, as EDD is June 2 and my parents live 4 hours away, so they may not make the trip in time for Father's Day. But that's the plan!

I am due June 9th FTM and I actually got a really nice frame baby backpack for like more than half off for mine. To this moment I am so stoked it's gonna be hard to wait till then to give it to him.

We are due June 9th also! Haven't even thought about it! Since my husband is one of the hardest people to buy for...Prob something with the LO a framed cute picture for work of something to that effect and maybe the diaper bag back pact he wants.

im due after fathers day (thank goodness because im terrible with getting him gifts) but i found this cute idea on pinterest, that could easily be done yourself. and you could always add baby's hand/foot print.

I'm due June 18th. So baby will be brand new or if he may not have made his grand entrance yet, if he's late. Is it horrible that I'm planning on our son being his gift?

I'm due after. I'm thinking of making something with maps of where I'm from, where he is from and then where baby will be born. I saw on Pinterest 3 little hearts made out of maps in a shadow box. That's the plan. I should probably do it sooner than later and have it done and hidden for when baby comes.

I'm also due the 18th as a FTM know I will probably go over so its possible LO could come *on* fathers day. I totally considered this angle as a father day gift, so if its horrible, then so am I :>

I'm due the 29th but we have six other children so I really don't know. I'm thinking about getting him a kit to brew his own beer or something. He spends all of his time with us. He has zero projects or man things going on. Maybe it will encourage him to take some man time since he is dad 24/7

Still undecided myself my EDD is June 23rd and my hubby's birthday is June 14th so it may be a combined birthday and father's day gift for him.

I was thinking my husband will get a card and a nap if we're lucky. DS2 is due the 11th. Daycare usually helps DS1 make a handmade gift for him too, which he will love!

A nap may be the best idea yet... I might ask for one for Mother's Day!
