It's kinda silly, but who cares. I know lots of people who have names like that (Ky Yotee, Rusty Dodge) and they seem well adjusted. Give him a more common unrelated middle name to break it up, like John, then if when he is older he thinks his name is too much he can go by that, or R.J. Fisher.
It's a cute kids name, but if I were looking at a job application I would probably laugh and then toss it. Like @jadetree1080 said a middle name can change or break up that image.

have you tought about kids at school bothering him? i think is about them not us.. middle names aren't used often ... many other names to pick from... idk .. just an opinion.
I have a friend Russel Cox and of course he goes by Rusty, Rusty Cox. It was comical the first time I heard it but then you get over it. It's his name, is what it is. Maybe it's bc he doesn't care and has a kick ass attitude. Just offering an alternative view...
We are also naming our son River! It's my absolute favorite name. A lot of people give me flack about it, but we love it and that's all that matters! If you love it, then go for it
