Do not order anything from Target online tonight.
I placed an order earlier & tried to use gift cards. It wasn't working, so I called the 800 number as instructed. I processed my whole order through the representative. When she submitted it the order it wouldn't process. She asked me to hold while she investigated. While on hold I was disconnected. I have no reference number or anything. I waited a bit expecting a call back, as I had given them my number.
I decided just to go to the store because there were other items I needed not available online. Explained to the lady at customer service what happened. She said she couldn't help because online is completely separate. So now I have to call back, see if my order is placed, and if not hope my discount code & gift cards still work. A store employee did confirm the website was offline as I was checking out. I'm not sure my time is worth the 15% I saved.
Save yourselves the hassle and order at a later time!
