Constant headache...

This pregnancy had been harder then my first. I have a headache about everyday since days worse then others but not sure how much longer I can go with a headache. Tried relaxing, Tylenol, everything I can think of. I am unfunctionable.. What do you do for a headache?

Re: Constant headache...

  • What I've found to help, which surprised me, is a little caffeine. I generally only do decaf while pregnant but I'll have a small cup of regular coffee when I get headaches. The caffeine makes your blood vessels constrict slightly, which helps force excess blood away from your head. Nothing else has helped me. Hope you find something that helps you soon!

  • My doctor told me to take vitamin B 2 everyday with my prenatals. Neurologists are starting to use it as prophylaxis for migraines.
  • I had severe migraines a few times a week prior to visiting a chiropractor specialized in pregnancy. Turns out all my muscles, especially in my neck, have tensed up giving me the headaches. Since regular visits 2-3 times/week the migraines have mostly eased up!
  • I have migraines with every pregnancy, and my doc gives me caffeine pills and Tylenol to help. Sometimes it works and other times not so much...my fallback is always a cold eye mask and laying in the dark
  • Try going to a chiropractor. I have been having terrible headaches and tried everything to get rid of them without success. I just had my first chiro adjustment tonight and feel relief already!
