Seasonal allergies

I've been dealing with terrible seasonal allergies. Do any of you know of something that brings you some kind of relief at work and going about your daily tasks? Before I was pregnant, I could take Allegra, but now its a big No-No.

Re: Seasonal allergies

  • I take two benadryl at night to help me sleep, but it's an allergy medicine too. But last night I ended up with a sore throat and ear ache so I dont know if that is allergy related or not. I'm going to the dr today hopefully they can give me something

  • I forgot to mention.... I'm allergic to Benadryl, so that's a big no-no for me too. I have a feeling I'm gonna have to be stuck and miserable with theses allergies till the season breaks.
  • Have you tried sinus facial massages? They work wonders if you do them religiously. I found it through google.

My doc ok'ed Claratin, just make sure it's the kind without decongestant. Neti pot really helped me when my allergies got really bad. I also found that I suffered from tension headaches while pregnant that I mistook for allergy related sinus headaches Tylenol with caffiene really helped!

ETA I hope you find relief soon! Allergies during pregnancy suck!!

  • I called my pharmacist, the said that the only other semi-approved drug for allergies is Zyrtec. not the one with the D, just the regular. I took one last night and feel about 75% better. Once I get the initial allergies down, I'm good for the season, so hopefully with one or 2 more pills I should be 100% again.
