I read a detailed procedure of an epidural. Since I've worked in veterinary medicine as a nurse I wasn't able to hide behind ignorance of medical terms. I'm never going to rule out an epidural, but I wish I had kept myself blissfully ignorant with just a general idea.
I hadn't thought of it until cneiding said it, but WHY would you post pics of your bloody show?
With my first pregnancy I never wanted to know detail. Now though I LOVE those childbirth programmes like One Born Every Minute. I don't care how detailed the camera work is, I just love childbirth.
Secretly I would love a friend to ask me to be present at a birth just so I could see it from the other side. Not that I need to see a good friend's bits all close up, but just the process.
I have been to hundreds of deliveries (pediatrics training), but we were always called in while mom was pushing. I can give you all the gory details of pushing through delivery, or of c-sections, but nothign about what leads up to that.
FYI - I didn't mean for it to be an image search. I had just image-searched something else (don't remember - NBR) and didn't pay attention that my Google was still on google images.
Trust me, you won't even feel the epidural, the contractions are so crazy, I actually felt my pelvic bone separating. Kudos to moms that do it naturally, but I was in labor for two days and I really needed an epidural. The pain was so unbearable it almost made me pass out and I have a very high tolerance for pain. It's nothing like I have ever felt, but you will be amazed what you can endure knowing that your baby is coming!
Re: pregnancy, labor, and delivery things I wish I hadn't Googled
