Induction Date Has Been Set!

I haven't posted on here in awhile... Safe to say, we've been busy busy busy! I'm a Type 1 Diabetic, and as of today... 37 weeks. My high risk doctor recently gave my regular OB a window of time for my induction. February 19, 20, 23, or 24... And he picked Monday the 23rd!!! My original due date was my birthday, March 6... So, I wanted to thank everyone for all the support from the March mom's group, even though I was informed very early on that our boy would be here a little before March, he'll still be a Pisces... Just like his mommy.

I'm so nervous. This is my third pregnancy after 2 consecutive miscarriages, so... I can only hope and pray that things continue to go just as well as they have been. We've truly been blessed. Good luck to all of you, and best wishes!

@ju123‌ no , I wanted to try vbac. The hospital where my OB delivers does not preform VBAC's though. Plus, I have a medical issue and they don't think it's worth the risk.
It worked out though, because the day they scheduled me for is my dads birthday. So now I'll never have to buy him another birthday present. Jk

Yeah I'm on the same boat, I wanna try VBAC but my doctor is not so keen on it but I keep flipping and flopping whether I should book another c section and make it simpler

@ju123‌ , I'm a nurse, but in a male facility , so I don't have working experience with women's issues at all.
I've talked to the doctors I work with. As soon as I said VBAC , they all shook their heads and said not to do it. It's a personal choice , I totally wanted the experience of delivering naturally , but as long as baby comes and everyone is healthy I'll be just as happy

I totally agree with you!
How many weeks and days will you be at the day of your c section?

My first baby it was an elective c section, back home in Brazil booking sections is common, sadly! Lol

We'll be inducing February 25th if he doesn't make his appearance sooner. I'm 37 weeks 4 days right now and am actually glad she's not wanting to wait till my originally due date of March 3.

Type 1 diabetic here as well and also due March 6! My induction date has been set for Feb 27 if he doesn't make an appearance sooner!

Type 2 diabetic with hypertension my induction date is March 6 th due date March 16th. OP do you know what method your doc is using for induction?

I'm already dilated to what he said was a definite 1, if not a 2 and 80% effaced. He'll check me again on Thursday, and depending on if I dilated anymore, he said just to expect to come in on the 23rd at 5:00am, and he'd start me on Pitocin and go from there. I'm hoping I can do just a normal vaginal delivery, but there's always that chance for a stat c-section, unfortunately.

Good luck to all ladies being induced. I know it can be hit or miss in comfort and whether or not we avoid a c section.

I am 37 weeks tomorrow and have gestational diabetes. Is it likely that I'll need to be induced?

Being 37 weeks, I'd imagine that's something that would have already been discussed by your doctor if it was needed before now. I've known since my first appointment that they were inducing me a week or 2 early. I'd definitely ask at your next appointment.

I'm 39 weeks and my original due date was March 15. I was told at my appt last Thursday that if we hadn't went into labor by Tuesday he would check us and probably put us in the hospital to be induced...that's tomorrow!!!

I'm soooo excited!!!

Due date was March 9 induction date March 20.. 4 cm 70% effaced I'm ready to meet my baby boy :-?
