34 weeks and contractions!

I'm 34 weeks 1 day with my first baby. Over the last 2 weeks I have dropped really low and am in a lot of pain. I also started to get contractions when I start walking around and at night. I cannot do simple things like walk around a store without the pain and then at night it feels like he is going to fall out of me. Now I have been having one or two contractions per hour at night. I have severe low back spams and this may be tmi but I have had A lot of sticky discharge enough to leave me soaked down there. I have already been restricted from work but my worry is that I'm going to go into labor too early. Am I gonna go into labor soon? And can I really make it to 40 weeks with all this pain?!?!

    Uhm have you called your doctor? Because it sounds like you should.

    I feel your pain! im 33 weeks,6 days and I'm also getting a lot of BH contractions. I feel like i got kicked between my legs after walking around stores for a while. Sometimes i get sharp pains in my lower abdomen. I see a specialist bc Im at a higher risk of preterm labor due to pprom with my first baby at 35 weeks. Hang in there at take it easy and just let the doc know how you feel. My specialist says my cervix is closed and long so it seems like regular discomfort from being towards the end. Contraction will get more frequent and uncomfortable toward the end. Luckily, we are at a stage that preterm baby's survival is high. My first did not spend anytime in the NICU and went home with me at 35 weeks. Hes 12 years old now.

    Definitely call your doctor. These could be signs of labor (or not). Either way if you are worried a doctor can give you the best advice. This late in the game it could very well be labor so I wouldn't wait to engage a medical professional. Good luck.

    The last few weeks of labor aren't fun, everything down there seems to hurt. Your pelvis feels heavy, and it becomes an effort to walk.

    If your having contractions 5 or more per hour, I would head to L&D. I've been having contractions since 29 weeks, admitted once, to stop them.
    I still get them daily, but not as many as 5 per hour.
    I would speak to your OB, and let her know your worries. In case you are leaking waters.

    I have had a similar situation last we I make 35 weeks tomorrow after sexual intercourse with my boyfriend I started to get contractIons so he took me to the hospital after a 5 hour wait the nurse seen me an told me my sac was leaking an I'm having bad contractions so they kept me over night... while waiting over night for any news they came back an checked me an said I was 2Cm dilated they kept me for a few more hours they all of a sudden they told me I stop dilating but I'm still having contractions so they sent me home an told me to come back when they got worse... even though I was susopse to take it easy I still went out an did what I had to do with all the back an lower stomach pains.....I got back to my OBGYN tomorrow for my 3 week check up hope he clears me an tells me I won't go into early labor

    Amen. If your doctor tells you something, it's for a reason. If they tell you to rest, do it. They are trying to prevent you from having pre term labor. As a mom who has delivered a preemie and who is now high risk because of that, I wish it on no one. Emotionally, physically and financially. It's heartbreaking.

    I agree with calling the doctor but I'm in the same boat. I have 4-5 contractions an hour and then it stops for a couple hours and starts back up again.. With the lower back pain, discharge and pressure.. I'm not dialated at all though and was told to keep being checked even if they are all false alarms

    I to am 34 weeks , haven't had contractions but I think im slow leaking , and have had incredible shooting pain in my vagina ... My husband wants to get drunk tonight , I'm freaking out .... Think I might have to ring my mid wife

    Oh no , I haven't told him that we might need to go back to the hospital , yeah we were there earlier for appointments .... I kinda hoped it had stopped leaking .. I should know better ... I'm still lying in bed procrastinating ... He isn't drinking yet .. He has just made plans for our night and I'm worried that those plans are changing !! And I don't want them to because I don't want this baby to come early !! Although our ultra sound today said he's about 6 pounds

    Your baby is priority. Tell your husband to grow up and be responsible. My husband has changed his whole work travelinfg schedule because he knows baby girl can come any day since I'm already dilated.

    Chill, I'm not saying my husband has a priority to drink over the baby , I just feel bad if this is a false alarm and I've dragged him and myself away from
    Visiting friends we haven't seen in months ! He will get over it .. ATM I'm lying down and off to the maternity ward in half hour .. With husband.

    Just because a babies weight is "good" does not mean that lungs are mature and baby is ready to be born- their are huge milestones still to be made in brain development at this point. Your baby is not term and it is your responsibility to do very thing in your power to keep this kiddo inside- every extra day makes a difference. Leaking fluid is never something to mess with, there are all kinds of infections risks. I hope it is a false alarm, either way you need to rule it out.

    Please please PLEASE don't listen to strangers for MEDICAL ADVICE. Call your doctor or head to L&D where they are actually trained and educated enough (and in person) to help you and your LO. Thoughts and prayers to everyone experiencing difficult/painful things, but just because one person was fine doesn't mean you will be. Not everyone is the same, especially with pregnancy.

    Yep I , former username nomesy am alive and well and in the hospital , they are waiting overnight to see if contractions start , and then going from there .... I know a slow leak is nothing to fuck with I've done this shit before , it's just I was kinda hoping he would be in there a bit longer !!
