Nipple calluses

is it normal to develope small calluses on your nipples when breastfeeding, or am I doing something wrong? Breast feeding has been difficult for me and my little nugget to get use to, but I don't want to give up! We are trying to work out the kinks and figure out what is normal or not!

    My nipples were very painful at first. No calluses though. I used lanolin for a few days and it really helped them heal so that they don't hurt at all anymore.

    I would try to get an appointment with a breastfeeding consultant and have them check your baby's latch. It could be bad positioning or latch issues.
