Hi yall! I'm going to ask my OB this at my next appointment in a couple of weeks, but I wanted to hear your thoughts/experiences as well!
I'm a home health RN. I absolutely love my job! It requires me to drive A LOT and I usually have longish trips though. I have patjent's up to 100 miles away and about 1-2.5hrs away.
I'm currently 27w2d. The closer I get to the 3rd trimester, the more concerns and "what ifs" I begin to have about driving. I follow all the safety rules/tips...stopping every 30 mins or so to walk/stretch, having plenty of water with me, proper seatbelt wearing, and I keep my bump is a good distance from the steering wheel. I'm just not sure at what point I should tell my supervisor I'm not comfortable with being that far away from my doctor/hospital.

Re: Driving Concerns...
That being said, I think that for me, once I started feeling even slightly uncomfortable with the situation, I'd at least give my boss a heads up that the long distance driving will likely be coming to an end soon. My guess is that your patients will still need someone to help them even after you're not able to, so that will give your boss a little time to prepare another person to fill in before your doctor gives you the official order to stay close to home. Good luck!
2nd round exp 8/20/18.
I'm now 32 weeks (lurking!) and still doing this. I hadn't even considered not, as long as you drive carefully and wear seatbelt properly...
