39 weeks & 3 days pregnant- due date march 14

Hi , today I went to my weekly check up and the Dr. said i was 2 cm dilated but that my girl was still high :( . I only have 56 days of maternity leave and I had to start my maternity leave because the bank's policy is that you have to take the leave one week before your likely due date of giving birth, that is March 14.  I hope my girl doesnt take toooo long ....

    Dont get discouraged. You could go into labor tonight. Its a tricky process :) it has an ending

    I was due march 14th but had my little boy on the 2nd march,i went to midwife that morning and everything was fine my little one was really high and no signs but that evening i had a tummy bug kind of pain so went in bath at 6pm my waters broke at 6:30pm nd he was born unexpectedly very quick at 6:42 pm so just shows anything could happen. Good Luck xx

    Dealing with a similar issue: I run out of my official short term disability on April 20, just a little less than 6 weeks from today. I'm due 3/15 and had to start my leave extra early (at 32 weeks). Hoping these babies don't give us too much more of a wait!

    I'm in the same boat ! Had to take the week before my due date and have no signs this little guy is coming. We just bought a house recently and can't afford for me to take more than 6 weeks so I'm also getting sad/impatient and wondering if he's ever going to come ! Hang in there :)

    Yes, glad she has been patient so far! I started contractions at 32 weeks and they've been going ever since. But now at 39 1/2 weeks, I'm beginning to feel like she should be more ready. I have my next OB appointment tomorrow, and really hoping I'll be more dilated, but I am just happy she is fully baked now and can really come whenever she wants!

    Ive been having contractions all night they are 10 min apart and last about 30 to 60 seconds

    Ugh... Still only 2 cm and 80% when checked this morning. Having contractions all day, but I don't think they're doing anything. I think I may be pregnant forever! I know things could change really quickly, but I'm just going to assume that this little lady wants to wait until next week sometime.

    @jennjebaby My friend just had an Anna about two weeks ago. Beautiful name! Congratulations! Glad to hear that your last post was the real thing.

    I've been eating those labor cookies nonstop all day, going for walks, doing everything I can to try to speed things up, but I'm afraid I'll just need to wait until next week and get induced (hoping 3/20 will work for my OB). I have a feeling all these contractions are just useless. I know I technically have three more days until my due date, but you'd think after eight weeks of contractions, I'd be more than 2 cm and 80%! Oh, well. Back to trying any and everything to make this happen naturally!
