Reaction to progesterone with IVF

This is our first! We have conceived with ivf due to that I have a genetic heart condition that could be severe if I were to pass it on. We have our first beta tomorrow but we cheated with a fr on Sunday with a positive. I have been taking progesterone injections for almost 2 weeks and now with each one it is swollen, red, and very itchy. Went to the clinic yesterday, decided today we will switch to a different carrier oil but if it doesn't improve then to oral. Has this happened to anyone else? Anyone else have to switch to oral progesterone well before when they were supposed to?

    I know the PIO can be a pain in the butt literally. I've not heard of anyone going from PIO to oral, but I know people have gone from PIO to vaginal suppositories. I'm actually on the suppositories following my IVF right now. I don't think their bad at all.

    Hopefully this new oil will be better than your current one! Congrats as well!

    The oral would be in addition to suppositories which we will start regardless after the positive beta. I tried for them to do the beta yesterday, but they said that today would be soonest, and I work Thursday so we are sticking with Wed, Friday betas.... even with the bpf fr

    Ah ok that makes sense. I have heard of being on oral and suppositories together.

    As for the beta, its best to wait until at least 14dpER to check, otherwise it might be low. I can understand why they wouldn't move it up. But fingers crossed for good numbers!

    Yes they want accurate numbers so they can check the rise, may not be accurate until 8dp5dt, which is today but I can't go in Thursday, so we will stick with there standard 9dp5dt and 11dp5dt, go early tomorrow then have to keep the secret from my grandparents, as my grandma is having a procedure and wants me to sit with my grandpa

    I had a problem with the PIO injections, too. Doctors pulled me of them because my whole back was numb and I had a shooting pain down my leg. The suppositories aren't that bad.
