Random pains are not a sign of preeclampsia. Actual signs are:
Significant swelling.
Severe headaches.
Protein in your urine.
Decreased urine output.
Dizziness.
Excessive vomiting and nausea.
Vision changes.
High blood pressure.
I was being monitored for preeclampsia with my first as I had a lot of swelling and marginally high blood pressure. I never developed it, but I did have hypertension.
It can't hurt to call you Dr, but I think it is probabaly nothing.
They thought I might have developed preeclampsia at 37 weeks pregnant with twins. I was swelling, had headaches, high blood pressure, vision problems. I was sent to do a 24 hour collection of my urine to be tested. Turns out I didn't have it. Call your Dr, but it just might be gas.
I've seen that other people have pain in that same area on this forum, right below the bra line. Think I've seen it on a daily symptoms thread, maybe even two different ones. It could be a normal pregnancy pain but of course call your nurse/ OB if your concerned.
Right upper quadrant pain or pain under the right breast is a possible sign of pre eclampsia. I'm a labor and delivery nurse and that's one of the symptoms we ask every patient because it could be a sign of liver inflammation or like everyone else said it could be nothing. Better to check with the doctor
