exhausted and ready for sleep

I was exhausted the first 5 months of pregnancy due to no sleep and then miraculously when I hit 6 months, I was sleeping through the night! Plus I got that wonderful burst of energy; however, it's reverted back to how it was before. I only had 2 blissful weeks of sleeping through the night and I can't go back to how it was in the beginning, I'm a teacher and every little bit of sleep is needed. Any suggestions other than taking benadryl every night?

  • apparently putting lavender (essential oil or whatever) on the underside of your pillow helps i havent tried it myself but a lady at work said it helps

  • I'm having the same problem. My body seems to think that 5 hours is enough sleep. I don't agree :) but I work at overnight and have kids that I have to drop at school and pick them up, so there isn't anytime to make up the sleep. Good luck
  • My body seems to think two hours at a time is enough - followed by me being up for the next two hours. Hope it passes. My OB suggested meditation of breathing exercises when I'm wired and can't fall back asleep. Good luck!
